Fedorov in his prime was MUCH better than Zetterberg and Datsyuk combined. Sergei did right thing when he left Detroit, the management is to blame, not Fedorov.

Fedorov is going to be in the Hall of Fame for sure. He will most probably be inducted as soon as possible.

They offered him a contract and he had some personal issues, once solved he came back and voilá there was different contract. Fedorov did right thing when he left, Detroit management wanted to f*** with him so he left. Sergei Fedorov is one of the best players ever. Period. His contributions to the Red Wings are huge. He deserves to have his number reitred. Every fan who boo him is stupid.

Kipper is not elite goalie. He was 4 years ago. He is too lazy to keep in shape and train properly. Giguere on the other hand is elite goalie and he was pretty good last year.

Depends on the cap limit. If it goes up by 5 million or so we might keep Hossa, Zetterberg and Mule. Hudler and Samuelsson could be easily replaced by Leino and Helm.

Thing with Osgood is, he was never elite goalie in the NHL, he is above average, but not elite. Osgood does not belong with Sawchuk, Yzerman, Lindsay, Abel, Delvecchio and Howe. Simple as that. Fedorov is a hall-of-famer, one of the best players to ever play in Detroit. His departure from Detroit is not going to prevent his jersey retirement, just look at Roy in Montreal, time heals everything.

Red Kelly should definitely have his number retired. Lidstrom is a lock. And Fedorov should get his number retired, he was phenomenal and without him Wings do not win in 97, 98 or 02. Osgood? No way.
