Okay, you say 23..but definitely not 40. Cap will go up. Hasek's current Cap hit is 4mil. If he retires, we will have enough room for Miller, because cap hit for next year will likely be 56mil. When Z is up for new contract, Cap hit will most likely be over or very close to 60mil. If we keep Howard..it might be good. But if there is any chance we can get elite and still young goalie, we should go for it. I hope we resign Stuart and get rid of Howard, Lilja, Lebda and get Miller..it would be awesome. Then we can give more ice time to Meech and Ericsson..another plus. Even if we have to trade Filppula to make room..it's worth it. Yeah..AHL forwards = NHL forwards We have better chance to get something for him while he's relatively young and kinda promising. Osgood is signed through 10/11, Howard will be lucky if he can play 20+games a year. I think we should go for proven young goalie like Miller if we have any chance to do so.

Miller would be awesome, I'd prefer him and give up Filppula, Lilja, Hudler, Sammy if needed (salary cap). Howard seems to inconsistent and we should trade him while we can get something for him.

I don't think NHL or NHLPA are to blame. Clubs should take care of their players and let them rest (totally, no practices etc.) even if there's only slight possibility of concussion.

Ellis is great goalie, he's young but he has potential to be elite goaltender in the NHL. Our forwards do not suck. He is just great. On the other hand, we could be more mean in front of him.
