Yes, but less database bulk = improved speed. Prunning is the best way, no db fragmentation. I think the posts from 2006 are kinda useless now and prunning them would only help the forums. Thanks

Actually I study IT (Faculty of Information Technology, Brno to be exact) so I have pretty good idea about that, I would say. I agree with you that, if people would post this into already existing topic, the generated traffic would be lower and required space in db too. I know that. But even posting more than one thread about Fedorov a day (and I am fairly sure it is not THAT many on year's scale) generates less traffic than the need to load all the threads from 2005, 2006..do you agree? So it is not technical problem, prunning old posts will help if site is slower. Of course that if we all try, we can lesser the load.

But if Matt decided to make subforum for non-wings players or whatever you wanna call it, I am OK with that.

Says you. I was responding to Opie. I never said anything against the idea of making 2 forums or subofrum. Why are you always trying to lead the discussion somewhere else. You do not like the fact that there are threads about Fedorov because he is not Wing anymore. I understand that. For me, this thread was good and if not for this thread I would not read interesting (for me) article about Sergei Fedorov.

I do not overload the boards with Fedorov threads. Just think..topics about players are technical problem? Then YOU obviously have no idea what are you talking about. If it was a problem, then admin can delete old topics, why do we have 248 pages of threads? Why do we have GDT from January 8, 2006, tell me? Posting this thread had certain information value, why are you complaining about that. We do not have THAT many threads about Fedorov as you are trying to show. edit: Why do people keep complaing about this particular thing if you can simply ignore it. You would not waste your energy and time. A double win.

This is not technical problem. If it was, we would not have threads from December 2005 here. It is pretty obvious that starting a topic generates more traffic and requires more space in db than a post in a topic. But if you want to go to this, why just about Fedorov? Why don't we have ONE GDT topic? One topic for Injuries.. One for trades One for.. What do you say? You should really calm down. This is NOT technical problem.

I think everyone is capable of ignoring threads with "Fedorov" in the title. Why you make so much noise out of nothing is beyond me.

uhmm..I never thought I know you. Well, this thread was not started as a discussion who wants Fedorov back and who does not. I don't see anything wrong about this. Like I said I don't care about Fedorov and I don't care if he plays for Caps or Flames or any team. But I still like him as an athlete and I like to read articles about him. What is wrong about that?

What or who makes you come and read the topic? And I guess using word "*******" should bring some seriousness into your post? I don't know, I don't really care if we get Feds or not, I still like him and always will, does not matter what uniform he wears. Why are you still arguing with people who would want him back?

I think noone would ***** about Sammy if he was not on PP unit AND 2nd line. Hopefully, Babcock will put him on 3rd or 4th and keep him there.

I consider Kronner great puck moving defenseman. Campbell is kinda overrated player. I would not call him an impact player. He will demand at least 6mil per year. I am not saying he is worse than Brad Stuart, but for Wings Stuart is more useful player.
