Nice effort from guys to tie the game and bad luck at the end. Anyways, we did play 1/3 of the game at all, not enough against teams like Ottawa..on the other hand it showed what we need for the playoff run.. I was really pissed after the 2nd, but in the end I am glad we lost just 2:3..

Well, toughness and fighting are two totally divergent things imho. I like when our big guys throw hits and play hard. And yes, I am not pro player, not playing any league, just playing "hockey" with my firends in winter.

I agree. Plus we can be sure that Red Wings management would never bring in guy who is not capable to play in the NHL and add something to the team. And if Mac can really get in shape and actually play good, he might be back, I am sure lots of people would come to his first game as Red Wing again just to see him in the uniform. And as someone posted earlier, Mac (IF capable of playing NHL) would not be worse than Drake/Downey.

Some good points, but I still think that importance of fighting is overrated. Do you really think that if Huds get checked and Drake loose a fight that Red Wings just start to fear the opponent? I do not think so. Yes, it might be good thing to do if your team need some encouragement, but still, it's not so important imho. I do understand some fans enjoy it though.
