True, Mac would bring some more fans in but I doubt he'd even get any playing time unless he drastically cleaned up his act and trained his heart out. McCarty has been a childhood favorite of mine but I can't see him coming back to Detroit. But whether he does or not, he'll always be a Red Wing to me.

Yeah, the players are paid by the stores that have them. $10 is pretty reasonable. We have a store here called "Sport Stop" and they have Red Wings players come in every once in a while for a signing table and the price is generally $20+ You can recieve the autograph free though by puchasing a specific amount of store items, so you know it's being paid through the promotor (aka I'm sure Lilja isn't some greedy ass ). And I don't believe they get paid that much at all for autographing sessions either.

Enjoyable to watch yes, but I'm not holding it against him. Every coach loses their cool once in a while (well, most every at least). He has kind of put himself in a bad position though. Great player, not so great coach.

True that, I've been thinking around the same lines. And yes, the Wings are a big target and have had rougher times in their division this year but we really can't blame them for this one. I don't necessarily think its a matter of figuring out how to deal with situations as this one, it was given this was going to be a difficult game. Missing some star players, coming off the road and the tight game schedule of the past games had to of made this one really tough. But we'll get it next time, can't play amazing every game,

Yeah, I have always considered it to be a really good goalie goal. A lot of the time I base them on luck but this one was just placed on the net with good momentum.

I was a bit too young and i've heard about that game before. Man I'd love to see a video of that bag of ****** put to shame.

Ah yes, I stil have my Darren McCarty plaque on my wall. My wall collage of him has been down for a few years but the plaque will remain a reminder as one of the best pair of fists Detroit has seen

This is great to hear! Mac will always have special place in my heart - he was my favorite player since age 9 and #25 was on the back of everyone of my sport jerseys. I'm glad that he is back in the game again and in my opinion he will always be a Red Wing

Might be a stupid question, but would you all say this is going to reduce ticket prices in the near future? That'd be the only upside of the issue, but I'd never want the reason to be a declining fan-base.
