Late in the game Sammy threw a nice bodycheck which caused a turnover and he actually got a good shot off on net, almost handcuffed Theowhore. He has been playing alright, i was most surprised with the solid hits.

It was a penalty. They aren't allowed to cross center ice. The other team was awarded a penalty shot which was saved by the goalie who had scored the goal.

that can actually be quite fun at times

bit of an embellishment by sammy, im sure the avs fans will love that, I'm surprised Pierre McAvsucker didn't say anything about it.

We should mix Pav's and Johan's sperm to make a superhuman hockey player. I would bare the child.

haha I was thinking of making something for the photoshop war, but after a few google searches of mule sex I got pretty disgusted.

Atleast the Av's will learn one thing by the end of this series (something that I don't care to learn)... what it feels like to get f---ed by a mule

great read... the thing I love about Hank is that no matter how Hollywood-like he appears, he doesn't bring any of that to the rink. By the way if you haven't already google Emma Andersson... she is smokin'.

I read that Melrose is actually a potential replacement for Babcock next year. www.notachanceinhell.com

a little too pricy at $42.50 a pop... a big slimy real octopus would certainly have a better effect.

I thought that the Sammy, Drapes and Hudler line played quite well tonight, from what I saw atleast. (I missed the first period and a bit because of TSN). They had a couple of quality scoring chances and it seemed like Draper was able to stabilize them quite well defensively. What I'm wondering was if this was the line they used most of the night, or were they just thrown together a few times. I thought it was nice to see Drapes put on a line with guys who can atleast score sometimes, I'd like to see him get a few clutch goals this post season. If that line keeps playing like they did I hope people will stop ragging on poor old sammy and hudler, but I'm sure one of them will go and f*** it up anyways.

ahh it's great to be canadian. I was shocked to find out that there are strip clubs that AREN'T fully nude. What the hell is the point? Being from near Toronto I actually wasn't aware of these stereotypes of Windsor, I guess that is just an American perception. Most Detroit natives probably would not appreciate the stereotypes Canadians have of their city.

There has been a concern with many Wings fans that the team does not possess enough toughness. There has also been a concern that the Wings does not have enough secondary scoring. Is it possible to reconcile these two problems, or with the wing's current lineup is this an impossibility. What I would like to know is what would give the Wings the best possible lineup with these two problems in mind; scoring and grit. Atleast try to give some explanation for your lineup, please don't just list the players. Here is my lineup... Franzen - Zetts - Sammy Hudler - Datsyuk - Homer Kopecky - Filppula - Cleary Maltby - Draper - McCarty / Drake / Downey Even though I would have liked to I couldn't justify putting Downey or Drake into this lineup to take away a spot from Hudler / Kopecky / Sammy. Even though Hudler has not been great as late, I think his being benched a little while ago has scared him a little, and on a line with Datsyuk and Homer he is sure to produce accordingly. I'm sure people are upset with me putting Sammy on the top line with Huds on the second, but they have both shown to be able to produce a bit while being put alongside the likes of Zetts and Dats; I'm not sure you would get the same effect putting Downey or Drake up on those top lines. This also allows the team to put together a very good third line with a strong center in Flip and arguably their best right winger in Cleary. Summary: Top two lines are fairly even and will score most of the goals, while the third line will definetly knock a bunch in as well. In regards to toughness, the 4th line of course will be primarily responsible for stirring up s***, but each of the other lines will be tough enough to put up with the likes of even Anaheim's goons. Apart from Huds and Sammy, who are a couple of pansies, most of these guys can hold their own and will not likely get pushed around.

This is going to be a bit of a problem as well. Lids - Rafalski, Kronwall - Stuart are a given, and I would think Cheli with all his playoff experience is guarenteed a spot, but its a toss up between lilja and lebda. It all depends who is playing better.

I think that would make a great checking line, but sadly, the inclusion of D-MAc into the lineup likely means Drake and/or Downey will be sitting in the pressbox unless there are some more injuries. Come playoff time Babs is going to want to put out his most skilled lineup depending on their opponent, and I doubt this would include having all of draper, maltby, drake, downey, mccarty. All of a sudden they would have two lines that are great at smashing faces, but will likely provide zero offensive punch. This of course seems to be a big problem for many wings fans, as everyone seems to want more muscle while at the same time more secondary scoring. With their current lineup this is going to be somewhat difficult unless Drapes and Maltby start scoring some more goals or Cleary goes and clones himself a few times. This is my lineup for the playoffs. Franzen - Zetts - Cleary Hudler - Datsyuk - Holmstrom Kopecky - Filppula - Sammy Maltby - Draper - D-Mac This leaves Downey & Drake to will in where necessary, if they are playing the Ducks I would imagine one of these guys would fill in a spot somewhere. The first line is an absolute monster line and will drive everyone nuts, and would likely be the wing's second toughest line as well as the highest scoring. The way Datsyuk is playing you can put Aki Berg and Wade Belak and he will still score. Homer and Huds have both had success playing with him so that makes a pretty good second line. People might question why I put Flip down on the third line but I think it would be good to have a competent center playing with sammy and kopecks. That way they arent a huge defensive liability and they should be able to produce a bit offensively as well. Then of course there's the good ol' grind line which really needs no explanation.
