I don't understand what Stuart was doing there.
-
Seriously?

San Jose is on pace for 51 shots I think. Awesome. I know we all know that Nabakov is an awesome goalie but no one is screaming that he has allowed 4 goals on 23 shots. I think stuff like this happens when you are playing one of the best teams in the league.

The Red Wings have two shut outs in a row and the Penguins have been unable to solve the Red Wings defense so the solution is to mess with the defensive pairings. Why? He made a gaffe last night that didn't lead to a goal while Chelios made a number of mistakes that lead to goals in the Dallas series. I think you stick with the winning lineup unless you have a significantly better player coming back (like Franzen over McCarty) or you have a player that was making major mistakes that made games closer than it should have been.

Nomadic Stuart hopes to stick in Hockeytown

Stuart has been awsome. Even though his play was a little shaky at the start of the playoffs he has picked it up big time. He has a +/- of +12 according to the NHL site. He also adds a physical element to the Red Wings I love. -
McCarty should sit. He is slow, he is taking a lot of penalties and doesn't bring much against the Penguins. Maltby is a good two way player and a good PKer, faster and probably brings just as much offense to the lineup.

Did the Red Wings beat his team or something?

1. Osgood 2. Zetterberg 3. Datsyuk It's impossible for me to ignore Osgood's numbers. Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom etc. have been great but Osgood's numbers are awesome. Let's not forget that the Red Wings didn't look so dominant until he came in; he has provided a sense of calm that has allowed all the Wings to be more effective.

He played a great game and had some good celebrations too. I liked it. =D

Zetterberg Datsyuk Osgood I wouldn't have ranked Franzen #1 even after the Colorado series just because so many of his goals came during that series. It was pretty clear that Colorado was really outmatched that series.

This guy can't be reffing in the finals.
-
It's kind of hard for me to explain to non hockey fans here why Holmstroms goal was called off and then have them watch Dallas score from inside the crease.
-
I'd be going crazy if I was a Rangers fan. The refs cant miss calls like that.
-
Huge save by Ozzie at the end of that game. Whew! Wings need to play a full sixty minutes please.
-
Datsyuk Lidstrom Kronwall Datsyuk was everywhere and played great defensively but beyond that he was sticking up for teammates and playing tough. Lidstrom was his usual self and Kronnwall was showing why he got paid all that money and had some monster hits as well.
-
I don't understand this. They want him to stop swinging it around because it makes the fans cheer? That doesn't make sense.
-
I've been one of the ones saying he hasn't been that great this series but he was really amazing tonight.
-
Franzen OMG! My heart was going crazy.
-
It doesn't really look intentional but... why would you even put yourself in position to do that? Don't climb over someone on when you sharp metal blades on your feet, it's dangerous.
-
Good, it is appropriate that Osgood should get the start after the way he played last game. I was almost scared he wouldn't be starting.
-
I don't think Ellis is playing hot or even very good. The Wings just haven't been capitalizing on the huge rebounds he leaves.
-
Ellis hasn't really been that amazing. He keeps leaving huge rebounds, it's just up to the Wings to capitalize on them.
-
I was at game two and my ears were practically ringing at the end of the game. It was damn loud, anyone who says different wasn't at the game. The mics in JLA don't seem to pick up the noise as well.
-
Osgood should be starting game 5, he looked great out there. I don't hate Hasek but I think the soft goals were really demoralizing the team. Especially when they were coming seconds after the Wings would score or one right after the other.

Seriously, the TV timeouts can't be helping to keep up the Red Wings intensity right now.
