I can't say I expected them to give him a large suspension but it doesn't mean it's ok. If I hadn't grown up a Red Wings fan I can't imagine why I would be attracted by this league.

I used to be worried about when Holmstrom retires, that we would no longer have a man to stand infront of the net and do it well. Franzen looks like he will fill that role pretty well.

I just watched what happened on TSN. While I wouldn't expect him to get 30 games for what he did it does look like his feet were tangled up but it also looks like he pulled his foot free and then stomped again on Kesler before skating away. The league letting him get away with no punishment is ridiculous. I didn't expect even ten games but nothing? Yuck.
