Nicely put. As long as the wings you shipped them with were red they'll find their way. Can't help but hope God's just trying to make the championship this much better. Finish her off!!! Vibes from across-the-river, ON.

Chelios said that once too.

This works too I guess. What an idiot.

The confidence I imagine him using in the tone of his voice just boosted my own confidence so much. Good story.

Man I'm going to Hockeytown Cafe on Friday and that is that. Go Wings, go!

No, this here is right. Detroit has to bring their best game and tonights effort isn't going to do. Pittsburgh will not blow their composure like they did in game 5 because like Firehawk says, the cup is on the line. It may be their last chance to ever win a cup, and they're not going to give up on that. Detroit can win this game automatically on one condition though, and that is they must PLAY SIXTY MINUTES. I feel this because like most of you should agree, Detroit is the better team. We have the veterans, the tricky players, the two way defenders, and even the goaltenders. We've got the goal scorers. And now we have home ice advantage to go along with that which includes the red & white, the noise from the fans and the 'active' boards. I can't help but hope this is some kind of divine master plan created by the Hockey Gods which allows us to win the Cup in front of the Pens fans to demoralize them, then win the Cup in the D because it is something Detroiters so desperately need to witness - not as a hockey community but as a community in general. We need to see success. I don't even feel like this is about hockey anymore. I live in Windsor and just got to see the Spits win their first ever Memorial Cup. Windsors going through the same s*** Detroit is, and I think it'd be great to see these bordering cities both win their respective championships, for the cities. Other than that I'd love to see the Pens fans miserable another year and not have to deal with people getting on my back. Because if the Wings win I will try my best to not rub it in but if they lose I will hide under a rock for the next 365 days because the majority of the people in Windsor are rooting on the Pens (they're mostly Leafs fans) and the media hype will just kill me. Go wings go.

Keep it out of OT. Sudden wins are great but a sudden loss would too much to bear. Go Wings, go!
-
And Pittsburgh hasn't lost a game all playoffs when leading after 2. It can't go on forever. Go Wings go. Steal this from the Pens.
-
I think our D is looking good and holding off any real shots.

Toronto should go for him. That's what they need.

'Know' is a pretty strong word. Sid is only "back" because Zetterberg was taken off of him and put on Malkin. Put Hank on Crosby and Datsyuk on Malkin and what the hell do you think either of them is going to accomplish?

This is what we live for? So we'll take the excitement; I still have faith that Detroit will pull through in six and NO DOUBT they will win game 5. No doubt.

Turnovers turnovers turnovers. Pathetic.

I stared at it for like ten minutes.

+1 (You scratch my back, I scratch yours.)

Or, they're not from Pittsburgh at all but people from Windsor/Ontario who hate the Wings (trust me - there's a lot of them here.) Just like people from Cal who hate the Ducks go to the games to boo them, meanwhile they're actually Sharks/Kings fans.

I concur.

We clearly can't call the game otherwise Pittsburgh wouldn't even be in the final, Carolina wouldn't have beat Boston, and San Jose would've destroyed Anaheim. Other than that, we expect the Wings to win home games against teams that we're better than. It's not predicting; it's called common sense. Then Pittsburgh should probably come back, play really hard, and win game 3 right? Finally, with the return of Datsyuk and some anger over the last loss Detroit busts their ass and wins game 4. It only makes sense.

... Take Malkin out and you have ZERO pens goals. If our roles were switched -making me a Pens fan and now Hossa or Franzens suspension gets recinded only to have that player go on to win the next game for them, I would be bitching and moaning (don't deny it Pens fans). It's okay, I don't complain though because the Detroit players aren't little teenagers who can't control their emotions... not to mention I'm not a Pens fan. edit- spelling/grammar

Heres a better idea, why don't you go out and ref. I hate this conspiracy s***.

We need a new arena, with properly measured steps because I trip going up the stairs at the Joe way too much. Now, for your first point, what about the Tiger stadium location, or the old train station? Or would we prefer an arena closer to the heart of Detroit? Personally, I like being able to walk from bars downtown to the game.

This thread was just cycled a couple days ago but I think Helm would make a suitable A, and if Pavel spoke English he'd get a C but he doesn't so that goes to Hank. Hank - C Helm/Flip - A (for extensive hard work and mad skills - flip has to keep it up in the regular season though) Raf/Kronn/Franz/Datsyuk - A (for mad skills) Yes.. all six of them. Like someone mentioned in the other thread: who on the team WOULDN'T make a good alternate?

Funny thing that a goalie is part of a team... having a weak link breaks down the team. Sucks when one individual single-handedly lost every game for you, (according to 95% of Pens "fans"). Oh... by the way, you need to score goals to win games. More than one would probably help.
