Here we gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

So I'm thrilled for Helm and I'm pumped for the Wings. Detroit - 2 Dallas - 0 Dats goes to 8 games for his scoring streak. Days draaaaag on waiting for Wings games to start.
-
Oh man.. I have been sleeping. Well.. I'm embarrassed.. I can't believe I didn't know that.

Ericsson is doing great and the more he plays the better he will get. I think another year at GR would be best for himself and the Wings though. There are still some things he needs to touch up on. About our defence, we don't even know if Raffi is going to be hanging around after this season. If Raffi leaves that would probably partner Lidstrom with Kronner..., and then everyone gets pushed up one spot from there, and as much as you don't want to see Lilja & Lebda continue to mess up things for us they are both still more experienced than Ericsson, Meech and Quincey. Of course Lilja more-so than Lebda (who both bring different things to the table, some good some bad.) And even though watching Lilja play can sometimes be the most frustrating thing ever, I actually have to admit that his play lately is kind of impressing. Anyways Meech > Ericsson for last spot.

Good for him... I can't wait to see his debut/what he can bring to the team.

Crosby is an amazing, talented player, given the 'C' at a very young age. Seems like his dream of becoming like Steve is coming true. The only difference between the situation for Crosby and the situation for Yzerman is Yzerman's 'C' came from promise, talent, and ability to be a leader. While Crosby is promising and very talented, does he really come across as a leader? Times are changing. Gary Roberts is on that team with way more experience and leadership skills than Crosby. I don't get it. Seems like it's just best for the franchise financially to give Crosby the C. Good to hear that he looks up the The Man.

Oh man Hasek.. don't keep this up for the playoffs. Although, it is good to know that when Hasek is injured we will have another solid goalie right there waiting.
-
Sammy is playing great right now all around. He seems physical enough and he's taking great shots. The only thing keeping him from playing on like this is himself and we all know that and so does he. I think if he's going to stop playing well it won't be until after the playoffs.

Yeah, the OP clearly knew that... Great article.. They also misspelled Lidstrom by putting Niklas Lidstrom rather than Nicklas.. I am kind of curious to this.. I have seen both cases of spelling several times.. On Detroit Red Wings sites it's Nicklas.. anywhere else it's usually Niklas. Does somebody know which it is? I'm almost positive it's Nicklas though. Just making sure.

Hmm.. You guys seem to be having fun that Toronto is balls right now.. It's kind of upsetting for me... obviously I like chirping them, and the 90% of people I know who love them... but come on, it's no fun when the Wings play the Leafs and we HAVE to win. It's like .. if we win who cares, but if they win it's a big deal and we suck. Other then that, this is a beautiful picture and some good quotes for it. My creativity is about nill right now so I'm not going to bother attempting a joke.

No, you're right ... I was thinking the same thing. That kind of makes it worse that they are achieving a potentially undeserved 10 consecutive wins. ... sorry achieved. I was going with that as well. Everytime we pick up I get excited.. I'm counting on this now and I'm looking at our upcoming schedule and after Dallas all of our games are in our division. The only thing that would keep them from winning these games is their mentality going in.

Five years of Cleary should be awesome! I'm so happy with the Wings and Cleary right now... Anybody think he's going to end up as an Alternate within the next five?
-
I'm kind of upset that San Jose is on there way to randomly winning ten straight whereas we work our asses off and can never manage to get it. Kronner played sick today though.. and Samuelsson had a pretty solid game too.
-
Lol co-champions? They should've changed the rules around to allow more scoring.. it's better than declaring a tie.
-
First of all... congratulations to Dallas Drake on the assist and the games. Second of all best conversation between announcers: "I remember my 1000th game.." - LM "Oh yeah, where was it Murph" - KD "...Don't ask me.." - LM Man, I can't get enough of these guys. And Chicago scores..
-
Wings 6 Hawkies 2 I don't guess all of the scorers I'm just predicting Datsyuk hits 1-2, Lidstrom hits one and a couple of assists for hopefully 1st star and Hudler picks up another point. Goaltending is solid.
-
I realized that after my quote and changed it.
-
I have to agree with the person who said that it's because they're Red Wings. Red Wings clearly don't count in anything.
-
Hahahahahahahahahhaa. Three more wins!? Oh God.
-
It was nothing special really.. like no more than 15 seconds and he just stood up and walked to the front to get some papers.. Then later his comment to Mickey, "I was definately the best dressed guy there."
-
I would love to witness something like this and know that hockey is still alive like it was before. Still fast paced and physical but I was born a bit later than this and have barely seen anything like it.

Selke 1. Pavel Datsyuk 2. Mike Richards 3. Patrick Sharp Hart 1. Alex Ovechkin 2. Evgeni Malkin 3. Nicklas Lidstrom Vezina 1. Marty Turco 2. Evgeni Nabokov 3. Pascal Leclaire Lady Byng 1. Pavel Datsyuk Norris 1. Nicklas Lidstrom 2. Zdeno Chara 3. Dion Phaneuf Calder 1. Patrick Kane 2. Nicklas Backstrom 3. Carey Price Stanley Cup = My one and only Detroit Red Wings. I chose Malkin over Crosby for the Hart because THIS SEASON he is more valuable for the Pens than Crosby because he stepped up in Crosby's absence and kept them alive, along with pushing them to the top of the divison for a bit. Overall, yes, Crosby is more valuable but this season Malkin is the one. And it's good to recognize the guy for what he's done. Crosby is going to get plenty more in his career. As long as Malkin is with the Pens I'm almost positive this is his best chance at winning this trophy.

Very good to hear that he's feeling better. It's still good to see the secondary lines putting up points in the absence of our top players.
-
Not really. He's probably one of the most classy, respectful guys ever. He just says stupid, pointless things and that's part of why he's so interesting to watch.
