that was a pretty funny article. As for bad grammer, its woody paige. He's crazy, but i enjoy watching him on around the horn. He;s not a bad guy; a bit over the top most of the time, but he's an ok guy. he's better than a lot of the crummy sports writers out there.

the wings have impressed me since game 5 of the nashville series. I think nashville was much better defensively than most gave them credit for, and they had a hot goaltender. Beating a team with a hot goaltender is something the wings have struggled with in the past, and getting by one in the first round really impresses me. Pittsburg doesn;t impress me at all. I've watched most of their games, and their defense is a joke. Fleury gives up a lot of easy goals; he makes some impressive saves, but he wouldn;t make it in the west. Ottawa was falling apart through out the second half of the season, so I wasn;t exactly impressed with that series. As for the rangers, they seem to be able to consistently find a way to shoot themselves in the foot. The goaltending in the east just doesn;t impress me. I'm not sure how pitt matches up with philli; with the habs i think pitt wins. Dallas has been good. I feel that the sharks have really sucked though. Nabokov isn;t playing up to the level we all expect to see from him. They beat anahiem so i'll give them props for that. But the ducks were not anywhere as good as they were last year. they are not, as the all seeing barry the dumbass melrose says, "arguably the best team in the nhl." Turko has a god-awful record against the wings and i think that will play a factor. It would be nice if san jose could strech that series to 6 games though.

I feel like the wings need to play defensively for the first 10 minutes or so, and then just slam on the accelerator. Colorado will come out hard, a lot like nashville in game 3. we weathered that storm and just blew it later. I think as long as we don;t get stuck in the defensive mind set we'll be fine. I am a little mixed on this just cause we've been able to get on them fast the last two games and it worked great. I just don't want to see us get caught pressing forward too much trying to get that early goal, and giving up an odd man rush or some other easy chance for colorado.

WORD! i couldn;t have said it any better. if you actually watch and analyze the fight u see that mac dodges every punch. that is skill and experience. mac knew exactly what he was doing and it showed. its not hard to wrestle someone down when you are fighting on ice; someone will eventually slip. mac looked just fine. he came out of that fight no worse for wear. i think babs would def prefer mac not to fight if at all possible, but in the situation we were in, it didnt hurt. i think mac knows his limits and he knows that he should not do anything to jepordize the team. i love the effort he;s putting in, and he is playing very well with helm. he still looks a little hesitant at times, like he wants to make sure he doesnt screw up, and his speed is not quite what is once was, but i think as he continues to get more comfortable that will all pass. just saw the espn wrapup with melrose. its so funny. you can tell that he;s seriously pissed off that detroit is having such a good series so far. he wouldn;t give ozzie any props though cause he says ozzie didnt face enough shots. whatever. he made some big saves. either way, he's probably crapping bricks over his precious san jose sharks losing the 1st game at home against dallas. haha
