i have read in sports illustrated that the best place to meet players is at the exit to the players parking lot after the games (for all sports in general). Has anyone ever tried this? babs must go through like a pack of gum per period. he chews a ton! responding to the initial post, i think its kinda fun to piss in the troughs (they have them at Spartan Stadium too). not sure why, but when ur drunk it feels good to relieve urself in a big trough where there is loads of space to go.

is anyone else disgusted by the ridiculous celebration that ao does everytime he scores? the whole pounding the glass thing and jumping around just pisses me off. i'm not trying to take away from the fact that he is a very talented player, but it just seems like he needs to act a bit more mature. maybe i just feel this way b/c i watch and cheer for the mighty red wings. when our guys score they just seem to congregate, congradulate, and get right back to work.

k i guess im in the minority here. i just think its kinda classless. and i totally think he does it to shove it in the face of the other team. yzerman was a classy player, and that goal was a hugely important goal so i can understand celebrating a ot gamewinner with a big celebration, BUT doing it everytime makes u look like a tool in my opinion. whatever i love hockey so if ao and sc can get more people to watch it, then i am happy

so who would be best for the wings to play in the 1st round? personally i'd love to see a wings vs avs 1st round...BUT i think i would rather play nashville. i really just don't want to play chicago (it appears they are out, but you never know), b/c we seem to have issues with them this season (losses from bad bounces and crummy calls).

he has seemed more comfortable lately, and a bit more patient with some of his passes. everyone all the sudden seams to be picking up their play though. when you look at all the points are d-men got as soon as they came back, it shows just how important they are to the wings success. Lids, Raf, Kroner, and Cheli make everyone else better.

i really wouldnt want to play vancouver. it would be nice to have a series that we could win in 5 games. Vancouver could def cause us some problems

best place to park is at the Greektown Casino. the new garage they have there does NOT require you to validate your parking. it is TOTALLY FREE!!! from there you can walk down the main greektown street and jump on the people mover for 50 cents. it is a great way to get to the game. it takes you right to the joe. after the game u take it back for another 50 cents. its very safe cause everyone going on the way back are people from the game. the parking garage is right off of the freeway. easy in, easy out. parking at the joe or at cobo is also convient but you will pay a bit for it. + of the people mover - you get a "lovely scenic" tour of detroit. haha. its the easiest way in my opinion.

I could see them makeing it into the 8th spot. the east sucks enough that it could happen. i'd rather see them playing in there than philli or buffalo. montreal vs toronto would be a killer first round matchup.

oh give me a ******* break. i'm sure u were singing holland's praises when he signed rafalski and made some of the other amazing deals he has done in the past. if we can only win when dzh score then how the hell did we win all those games earlier this season? there are other guys on this team with 20+ goals. and btw we totally would have beat anaheim last year if homer had changed the angle on his stick slightly when he slid a puck behind jsg that just happend to slip all the way through the crease in game 5. i can attest to this as i was at the game and it happened right in front of me. we outplayed them the whole series except for game 6. they caught breaks and thats the way hockey is. look at the goal calgary scored, and the first goal vancouver got. those were crap goals but thats what happens.

geez, the naysayers need to chillll outtt! before february all the talk around this team was will they get 62 wins or not. point is the wings have been in a rut. they have guys who are proven scorers. this ship will right itself before the playoffs. yes it would have been nice to add a forward, but if kenny couldn't find what he and babs thought we needed, then i trust them. Kenny is still one of the best gm's in the league. last year's trade deadline aquistitions did jack s***. bert was semi useful but nothing to what he was supposed to be. who knows what mac will be able to do (not insinuating he is a savior!). this team is still in great shape; people are just pissed b/c we've been losing. Pittsburg put all its eggs in one basket. they wont win the cup this year, and hossa will be a ufa at the end of the season. If we still want him then, we can pick him up. I predict a solid win over edmonton tonight with franzen and flip contributing. We can grab some momentum and then go down and smack san jose around on friday. POSITIVE ATTITUDES PEOPLE!!!!
