Usually he leaves his feet after contact is made and I do not believe that is illegal. I think if you leave your feet in the process of the hit, so basically jump in to the guy, that is where it is illegal but that's usually not the case.

Was he the greatest or what? I'll never forget the night when I got to meet him. I was 10 years old I believe...because it was 96, don't remember what month though. I was at the Red Wings vs Kings game at the forum and because one of our cousins knew people high up in the forum, we got "owners seats" where they bring you food and s*** like that and after the game we got admission to the forum club which was the bar at the forum. Anyhow, that night was a dream come true as pretty much ALL of the Wings were there, but among them all Vladdy and Stevy Y stand out the most to me till this day. A bunch of the wings were gathered in a circle around the bar talking and all and Vladdy opened up the circle and pulled me in and everyone in that circle signed my jersey...I mean Fetisov, Ozzy, Vernon, Kozlov and a couple others who I can't remember off the top of my head, but it was amazing and Vaddy was the one who initiated it because I had asked him to sign my jersey and then he did so and had all the other guys do it after him. I also got a card signed by him that night and to this day it is one of my prized possessions. The other cool thing that night was when I sat at the bar and talked to Stevy Y and got my "YZERMAN" hat signed by him. At 10 years old, that was pretty much the best night of my life at that point and it only gained more meaning once Vladdy was injured. here's the card....

I think we will take it, we haven't been playing all that great at time and are keeping even with them, then when we turn it up, we're dominating, if only they could turn it up from the start and oh yeah..shoot at hiller's blocker, not his glove.

Getzlaf and Perry are very strong when they are behind our net and are finding open points too often. I would like to say though, that Brad Stuart played a great game today.

I haven't really seen malts do much out there, maybe bring up leino to add a little more skill to a fourth line that is grinding away out there. Helm has ben amazing, he needs some help though. I really hope we get rafs back though. He helps the PP majorly. Oh well, I'll be there tuesday so hopefully we can get a win there, last time I was at a wings ducks playoffs game at the pond, wings won 5-0, I hope to see something similar.

I assume you have never played...or didn't play hockey too much? That is a call that will be made from time to time for exactly what he said, unsportsman like conduct.

I wish they would call leino up and put the leino/flip/hoss line back together and then play ZDH. I remember for those few games we had those lines, they were clicking amazingly.

I think the wings will dominate this game a little more. Everyone includng their players are saying how the ducks played with them and showed they were at the wings level...the team I saw in the red and white last game wasn't really at the wings level, they were sloppy, rusty and making some bad decisions. If they tighten up and play smart and determined, Anaheim has no chance. I know Columbus is a weaker team, but a couple games in that series were displays of perfection, they played like a ******* machine, I expect something similar tomorrow. I say 4-1, Wings. Gols by Franzen, Kronner, Huds and Hoss.

I agree, he doesn't have to score all the time to be playing great.

Another thing everyone seems to be forgetting is that huds is what, like 5'6"? brown isn't. I think his shoulder got his head and the blood obviously cam from the visor cutting him. It was a nasty hit, but it is hard to really define it worthy of a suspension or a clean hit, so I guess tie goes to the runner?

I think if Huds didn't come back and was gonna miss time, it may be a different story, but he was back the next period, so I have a feeling that had an effect on their decision.

Thanks alot for the info! I got sec 206, which is to the side of the ducks bench but where the red wings shoot twice, row C. So I am 3 rows from the ice. It's for game 3, so tuesday night, I'm way stoked.

I'm pretty sure he has scored a goal as well. That was a nice highlight reel of the mule they showed. He's been playing great.

I hate having the SJS feed being shown on versus. I like to have a little less biased call on the game if it is a national telecast.

for f***'s sake, that wasn't even a punch, he more or less pushed his face, which isn't protected by a big goalie mask or anything, get over it.

ozzy really does have a switch and he has turned it to the "ON" posititon. He is playing out of his mind. I wish we could get a little more even strength play though.

I've been critical of Ozzy this season without a doubt but I believe he will excel in the playoffs and untill he proves otherwise, I'm runnin with that. I really believe with the cup on the line, he can turn it up to a notch not known of during the regular season.

I agree that little segment on versus, when it got to the wing spart and then where they were like "all contenders know that the road to the stanley cup finals runs through hockeytown" and they did the little spinning image that landed on the hockeytown logo at th joe...that gave me goosebumps. I was like oh man, this is it, it al begins tomorrow.
