no surprise, the second he left and wasn't coming back I knew they'd let him rest for the kings game, no point in playing him if he is the lsightest bit out of whack. He needs to be 100% when the second season starts.

good period, not quite as exciting, but solid nonetheless. it looks like sammy has ben hangin with Pavs, his puckhandling is a level above his normal self, he' havign a good game. I really hope the Hoss is alright. That is one loss we don't need and cannot afford right now.

hahaha eat crow because ozzy had a good period and a half or so?!?! oh man, lock him in for the vezina!

yah he has an incredibly quick release, he shoots it while moving his feet quite often as well which throws the goalies off cause so many guys stop moving their feet before shooting and it is an obvious giveaway to the goalie that they will shoot.

I love that guy.

it's funny to hear now about when Lids missed 6 games last year because it doesn't seem all that bad but man when it was actually happening, it seemed like an eternity.

you go ahead and do that! Even if by some miracle he totally turns his game around in the playoffs and plays as he did last year, it still wouldn't change te fact that he has been average to atrociious up to this point in the season. And calling it how it is doesn't make you a hater, I'v always loved Ozzy but I just can't comprehend why he keeps starting at this point in the season. Maybe it's you who needs to take the blinders off and realize how bad he has been. With that said, I'm not going any further into this ozzy debate, it is useless.

yah and it wouldn't be 1-0 if Ozzy didn't play keep away from raffy either way, that was a boring and unimpressive period. On a lighter note though, the sharks, devils game was very exciting. Good game devils.

Yah on paper, that 02 team is unreal but I have never seen dominance like the wings demonstrated night after night last season, it was amazing.

I'm not saying he shouldn't start the playoffs, I'm just saying people don't seem to want to realize that he has pretty much sucked this season for being our go-to-guy. Everyone finds a way around it, "oh it was the defense, it was the schedule, blah blah blah". When a team/player beats our D or our D makes a stupid mistake, that's when the whole having a goalie in the net thing comes in to play, he's there to stop pucks and plays that get past the D and quite frankly he hasn't been doing a great job of it. My point in reference to the playoffs was simply saying that the way everyone stands behind him when he plays like s*** makes it seem as though they will continue to be fine with that kind of play in the second season and not see his faults even then, it's simply blind loyalty.

so are we talking about past acomplishments or the play of the two goaltenders this season? i would never take anything away from what ozzy has done in the past but that's what it is now, the past. If everyone wants to keep being loyal and saying that nothing is wrong with ozzy's play, I assume you will all be fine with a first round playoff exit? Anyone who doesn't praise ozzy's mediocre(to at times, atrocious) play gets labeled as a "hater" instantly it seems which is quite funny, yet it is okay to constantly bash players like sammy, lils the second he makes a mistake and anyone else with the snap of a finger, yet they have all had more of a positive contribution to this team THIS year. But hey, if we get knocked out early, we can always watch videos of Ozzy's '98 and '08 runs and that will make everything better.

the first was terrbile as well. Sure chelios passed it right to them, but as your teams starting goaltender, you should know how to take the angle away from a player who is shooting from the outside. Both chris' sucked ass on that play.

it's not really uneccessary. Starting goaltenders should be able to steal games, simple as that, whether their team is off or not..ozzie has not stole one game this whole season and we're only a couple months away from playoffs.

man, ozzie comes up uge and makes some incredible saves but then the ones he lets in are complete s***.

mule, no question. Though I must say Danny gives 100% all the time whereas I think the Mule can get lazy sometimes but Cleary iisn't a great playmaker, doesn'thave great hands or a great shot, he really is just a hard worker and that's what ends up paying off for him, Mule has great talent, sometimes it doesn't seem to get put to use though.

a few things.... Holy f***, who is that guy wearing number 30 and where the hell did he go? I forgot just how amazing Ozzy was in the playoffs last year. Hossa's goals and points just kind of make me laugh now...and 34.4 seconds still ******* kills me. Seeing the excitememnt and the joy when Raffy scored, man, there's nothing better than that, winning it at home would of been incredible, oh well, the cup is the cup.

Our offense hasn't been as strong today but if that is our problem for now, I'm okay with it because our defense has looked great. One of, if not the best periods I've seen Lids play this season. Classic Nick with all those seemingly effortless poke checks stripping the pens of the puck.
