Yah I love the jerseys, I have a datsyuk one on the way, which is that much better now that he got the game winner. I wouldn't mind them being a third jersey, I totally dug the look out there yesterday.

i'm not really an ovechkin fan, at most, I think he's entertaining to watch play and that's about it. You're just making a big deal out of it because the guy got hurt which is very unfortunate but it happens. I didn't say nothing was wrong with it, he used his elbow, but that's a minor penalty, not something to call for a suspension over.

wow, what a misleading title. That is the farthest thing from what you would call a cheap shot. He was just playing hockey and there was a bad connection, whether it's the guy going into the boards in an awkward position or ovechkin just hitting in a bad form, it was really nothing more than an unfornunate outcome. Any other day, that'd be a 2 minute minor for elbowing at the most, it's just in this case the guy got hurt. I guarantee you if one of the wings made that same hit and the guy didn't get hurt, most would be up in arms about a 2 minute minor even.

I put yes, but I don't think signing him in general is a mistake, I just think for that price, because he certainly is not worth it.

I don't see why redmond is calling for a penalty on that. The guy took the puck from him, therefore it isn't interference...maaaybe, you can argue he used his forearm a little, but really, he just put the guy in his place, that's hockey.

I like having the cap. Last year's cup was MUCH more gratifying than the 2002 cup. Having mostly home grown players makes victory much sweeter.

yah and I like having hossa and mule together, two big bodies with great hands. After being reminded last night how great they are together, I don't wanna see ZDH apart again, they are too ******* dangerous to split them up.

unfortunately, I'm starting to agree with this. on a side note, on the play that flip got the penalty on, what a great diving lay by cheli to stop him from getting a shot off.

yah I love seeing cheli bac and I love ZDH being together, but I say play Hoss and Mule together with huds or fil.

13 is our "thug" haha I love how he seems to get tougher every game. People don't realize the other teams look tough because of our talent. They get frustrated as our offense swarms around their net and after the whistle they throw a few "punches" Big deal, hank got a couple shoves to the head, if you've ever played hockey you'd know that s*** happenes every game and it causes not the least amount of pain. If anything, it is just them taking a chance of getting a penalty. Why do we need a goon? It's not often we are in the situation where we need to be throwing punches and if we REALLY need to, Lils can step up and get the job done somewhat well. If you want a rough and tough team, go watch the ducks or something, it's not Detroit's style.

I think hank and hoss can create some magic but I don't dig the mule being on the third line.

I would just wear a wings jersey to the game and show where my allegiances lie. I honestly wouldn't wear any other team's jersey because it'd just seem wrong. I thought about getting a fedorov capitals jersey and then though "when the hell would I ever wear a capitals jersey?" even though I like their team, but if I'm wearin a hockey jersey out, it's gonna have the winged wheel on it.
