in my opinion, when bacock said that ozzie was getting an opportunity and we'll see what he does with it, that was him saying if ozzie plays good, that he is now the go to guy for the team. I could be wrong, but I think untill ozzie has a bad game or a couple in a row, he is now the no. 1 goalie.

yah dats has been playing amazing. He threw some big hits last night, one I would consider one of the wings better hits of the game. He's been my favorite player since his rookie season. I have a Datsyuk jersey with the 02 cup patch on it that I got right after they won as well as an authentic 04 all star jersey. If they win this year, I'll add one to the collection with an 08 patch. I truely believe(as long as things stay how they are) that if we win the cup, he'll without a doubt get the conn smythe, early I know but he is just by far the most consistent player we have.

While I don't think we should consider taking the captaincy away from nick, I do know what you're saying. While people are sayign Yzerman was a silent leader as well, it makes me think they are forgetting alot of his games, especially in the playoffs. He got pretty vocal at times, whether he was getting his team going or arguing with refs, Yzerman showed emotion when he had to whereas Nick is almost too silent. I never see alot of emotion coming from him which would be nice to see. I think everyone is blind to this thread because how incredible of a PLAYER Lids is. An aamzing player is not neccessarily an amazing captain. Sure there is alwyas the "leads by example" argument, but that can only go so far. I would personally love to see Lids getting his team pumped on the bench, or going outside of his style and making a big hit just to get his team going. Either way, he's still a pretty good captain, I just think us wings fans are used to the Y.

if the wings win the cup, Hasek HAS to win the Conn Smythe because quite frankly, if he's not conn smythe worthy, it's gonna be damn hard to win the cup.

Yah, I'll never understand the goalie war. I've been a wings fan since I was 7 and have always rooted for whatever goalie is in net at the time and will continue to do so. Though, my prefference going into the playoffs(as long s he is healthy and injury free) is Dom, it's nothing against Ozz, I'm just slightly more comofrtable with the Dominator between the pipes.

I'm right there with ya on the fact that Holmer seems to be invisible with out Pavs and Z but Franzen can probabaly generate elsewhere, but I just love seein those 3 together, it's a great line.

Damn, I wish Franzen would be a staple on the top line with Dn'Z. I mean I love Holmer and all(always have) but quite frankly, I think i'm starting to prefer Franzen out there. I mean for quite a while up untill Holmer got injured, I thought he was playing terrible(sloppy passes, terrible skating, not such good hands) and now I watch Johan out there and he is the exact opposite of that. Right now, the guy is playing like a fine tuned machine, I love it. I saw a post the other day(maybe yesterday) that said something in the effect of Holmer has better skating and hands, etc. Honestly, I think if you took Holmstrom off his jersey, no one would think that anymore. Anyhow, awesome game Dom I was hopin' to see some points out of Pavs, but to no avail, oh well he can't get 'em every game. Oh and it seems things are changin. With our luck since the allstar game, that breakaway toward the end there would of been a goal everytime and just shatter everyone's hopes of a win, but no way, not today, Dom set his foot down(though he didn't really have to do much on it) but it just seems those ones have ben tricklin in for some time now. One more thing, with everyone bickering about Huds, if he's playin good or not. I agree with the person who said we are expecting too much of him. Though, I think he has potential, this seems to be as good as it gets for him at this point. He played a good game, he just can't finish anything for the life of him BUT that's why we don't look to him to be one of our op scorers. We've got Pavs, Z, Danny and lately Franzenstein for that. Damn, to be honest, I expect Lids and Raffy to score before he does, so I'm never upset about Hudler's lack of scoring.

what's the big deal if it is z? If it is, it just means he's finally gonna get the rest he needs and be strong and good for playoffs. That's a hel of a lot more important.
