xm just reported he is now out indefinetly. Bad news for the Blues for sure.

is this thread a freakin joke? Strickland? hahaha. He is more incompitent then Eklund. Hell he probably is Eklund. lol. I find this to be a joke or a troll trying to set up shop here at lgw-mart, with a bunch of b.s. half off. Yeah and I also heard there was going to be a blockbuster deal sending AO, Crosby, Kovalchuk, and harvey the 'effen' rabbit to the new expansion team in Hamilton for Boyd Deveroux, Jason Wooley, and George Parros. Lmao. Lets get real here.

Were best friends. The guys on nhl home ice on xm have been talking about it non-stop. They're not thinking it will be a long relationship there. Mostly because of the differences in which they think the game should be played..

I am curious to see how this plays out. The team went publicly with stating their intentions and goals for this year to be a rebuilding franchise. Now their going to bring Burke in, who will make a few changes and get this team maybe decent at best, maybe make a couple playoff runs, get nice and close and then fizzle. Then that whole rebuilding thing looked a lot better back in the 08-09 season, then trading away the talent you had left and every high draft pick that was traded or thrown away from some shady deal. Now the team is still in the dumper and still the punchline of the league. And to see how Ron Wilson and Brian Burke will cohabitate there is beyond me. I'm curious to see how Wilson reacts to Burke telling him he is bringing an enforcer in, and the team is going to focus on defense. Might as well start looking for a new head coach as well. just my opinion though.

I can't say I disagree with you Matt. I definetly believe this season is still early enough to where there can be a wake up call, a chip placed on this teams shoulder, and to move on from this first months type of playing. This team is so damn lucky to have the 9-2-3 record. And your right, this team hasn't played a complete 60 minutes yet this season. I thought after watching the first period of tonights game, was going to end any speculation of this team sitting back and winning on a couple neat goals every night. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I frequently ponder the thought as of lately this season already. When the team is playing poorly, Babcock is playing the part of Herb Brooks in 1980. Making this team skating line to line, over and over again. And Babcock saying "again!" until the lights go off! This team needs some kind of a spark and a reason to fight for all 60 minutes!

xm was all over the hhof today as their storyline for every program. EJ and Don on nhl live touched on ozzie for a second. They said, "that it is easier to say no chance at hhof, but the numbers speak for themselves. Good luck trying to keep this guy out" I had to agree. He will be there some day. Agree or not, the numbers are good.

I am always down for an 0-6 matchup. I will be there with some store bought appetizer of one form or another. Maybe I can learn to cook or bake between now and then! But yeah, I will be there. -
yep. Gretzky wore that JOFA. But that helmet looks horrible. It reminds of a bicycle helmet.

Here is a link to a story about all 30 teams from espn, and how they are all doing early in the season still. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...&id=3682659 Detroit Red Wings Dave Dye of The Detroit News had this over the weekend: "They've allowed four or more goals in five of their last eight games. In 82 games last season, they gave up four-or-more only 16 times. The Wings ranked No. 1 in the NHL in goals against (2.24 per game) and shots allowed (23.5) en route to the Stanley Cup. This season, they're 25th out of 30 teams in goals against (3.36) and 15th in shots allowed (29.5)." We will keep an eye on that, but I'm convinced it's just some early-season boredom. Marian Hossa looks great so far. As the Wings go along, I think they'll have the chance to be not just the best team in hockey but also the best team in all of professional sports. I know that is impossible to quantify, but I just did.

yup. It does look pretty empty. A far cry from last Wednesday, when a quarter of it was red and white.
-
lol. god forbid anyone playing hockey for a little over half a million dollars a year. That would be so low class. lmao
-
I spend way too much time on this site!
-
Yeah I am pretty annoyed as well with that commercial. The guy on there is a total tool. Its to bad they didn't show him while watching the Wings skating around with the Cup there at Mellon Arena. That would have ben a lot better.

You never let us down with the wallpaper. Good job as always!

Yeah. What he said. Good post NFM.

I was also in favor of Mac returning last year. It was one of the feel good stories last season. But it's a new season, and I believe every spot should be competed for. Whether were talking a fighter or a more skilled forward. But the problem is Downey can't skate or score for s***. And I am not so sure that replacing McCarty with Downey is the answer. I have always have had mixed feelings about carrying an enforcer/fighter, whatever terminology you wish to use. I hate it just as much as anyone on here when the team and its skilled players take cheap hits and elbows and so on. But I would rather see skilled players defending, scoring, and winning games for the team, instead of barely winning or losing on the basis of an under skilled player running around looking for the last guy that took a cheap shot on a skilled player, and finding his ass in the box. Just my opinion though.

I wouldn't put much stock in the idea of Sundin heading to Anaheim. The guys on xm were talking today about why he is working out in L.A. Mostly to not be hassled by the media out here compared to being stalked by them in Toronto. Sundin was also in attendance the other night at Staples Center to see the Kings take on Vancouver. You can make the same arguement that he is still considering a team like Vancouver.

goooooooooooooooal!

this will be the turn around game tonight. Tight D, more scoring, less mistakes all around. They will look more like a team from last year. Or so I hope. lol.

I figured we needed to get duckguy a little more exposure with that super cool jersey he was there sporting!
-
Jay, you definetly gained my respect. I just briefly met you before the pre game skate. I just read all of the comments on the article including yours. Great job at telling the truth and explaining it very well. Everyone needs to go to the link and read Jays comment.

Here is Duckguy on the right and me on the left. This was just prior to the Wings/Anaheim game on Wednesday.
-
did you get my message earlier? I can make any of them, except for the 22nd.

I was there in person to watch it. I would rather not watch it again. Embarassing. I was feeling a little sorry for him there.
