It's not that I disagree with you, but it seems Lilja receives nothing but praise from KH and the team for his play. I just have a hard time believing he goes anywhere. I believe KH and the coaching staff know what to expect from lilja, rather than gamble with some of these others that are unproven. But then again that's why they hold training camp each year.

I guess what bothers me the most about Milbury, Maguire, and Cherry is that they always seem to favor the east or the Canadian teams. I can understand favoring your home country sometimes, but just to give credit where the credit is due. I don't doubt that these guys know the game of hockey, but no one gave Detroit any credit all season. Forgive me if I sound like a total homer, but the Wings dominated teams, and all we heard was how the other team was flat that night, or whatever they could come up with, without aknowledging, how talented the Wings were that game. I even noticed it during the SJ vs Calgary series. At least with Cherry, which is nothing new. There was nothing given to SJ. The talk was all Calgary.

thats not the point in this discussion. Who cares if the comparison isn't factual. The problem here is the mindless people who fill the need to nit-pick a quality 2nd, 3rd, 4th line player, that plays for this team. He's decent, he's accountable, he's a good teammate, and he is not overpaid.

I am not a big huge fan of Hudler, and in the past I have felt he was good trade bait, but I don't know, maybe he's human? Humans make mistakes. Even hockey players make mistakes. s*** happens, and s*** happens at bad times. That wasn't a good time to make a mistake. But the Brad Stuart mistake wasn't to timely either in the SCF. Nobody is s*** talking him on here for that. If your going to nit pick players for a mistake, you need to go down the whole roster! Don't just stop for the whipping boy.
