Bert has always been a piece of s***, and probably always will. I couldn't believe it when Detroit picked him up. He was worthless when he played in Detroit, and I was happy to see him go. I like Cheli too much to have Bert on this team. I am glad he will be playing in Calgary, being that thw Wings face them semi-regularly. I want to see Downey rip his face off and wear it for halloween!

I totally agree. I used to work in professional motorsports and would devote my life to my profession which included hard travelling. I just never got used to the travelling, but the money was good.

Numbers like these, in terms of millions of dollars, for me is just unthinkable. I wont ever say the players don't deserve every dollar, but most of us normal everyday joes here won't see a fraction of what some of these guys make in a single season. Can you imagine someone offering you just a million dollars?

Here is my list, first being worst: 1. Anacrime 2. St.Louis 3. Chicago 4. Colorado 5. Calgary 6. San Jose 7. Nashville 8 Edmonton 9 NY Rangers 10. NJ 11. Pittsburgh 12. Philadelphia And on a sidenote, ofe the least annoying teams I have come across imo, is Phoenix. When I go to the games when the Wings are in town, they just take the beating and not overly whine about it. Everyone there is typically considerate and a good sport. So props to PHX!

I did this on another forum for an nfl team, it's kind of interesting. 1.Pick any team. We typically picked some of the more bottom feeders in the league. 2.And explain what you would do to get them to the playoffs this season. Granted there will be probably a fair amount of transactions before the season starts. Lets at least try these teams: Anaheim Vancouver Edmonton Colorado St.Louis Chicago Columbus Toronto Washington Phoenix Florida Atlanta and whoever else needs a little direction.

I can pretty much agree with this list. I do think Chicago will be even tougher this year like you listed , and Phoenix will be better. Not good but better. I notice Anaheim not on the list. That would be a great sight, but I wouldn't consider them completely out. I think they will compete with the likes of Calgary and Colorado, and Nashville for those 7,8,9th positions.

They showed him at a home game not that long ago. I can't even remember if it was a playoff game, but I believe it was. I thought he was given a position with the Red Wings, in what capacity I am not sure. I just looked up the staff of the club, and he wasn't on any list of being employed. I am probably not much help, but I believe he is definetly around, he looked pysically healthy on camera. Hopefully he is in good health. I miss him.

Zetterberg is the no brainer of course. Even though Datsyuk is qualified, is as well is Draper. But if those follow through, Sammy 'the sniper' is always an option. lol
