My biggest beef was never with McGeough so much, as it was and still is "O how could you have missed it Halloran." I couldn't handle his game deciding calls.
-
Was there anyone better than Probert at that? I miss him too.

Red Wings To Play Blackhawks In Winter Classic

Thought of that. I am already getting the guilt trip though for making a trip to Detroit in October. -
How about we just leave s*** alone. It works! If they want to add more, then that will just have to be fine. I say we add teams in: 1. Vancouver 2. LA 3. Edmonton 4. Atlanta 5. Florida 6. Long Island 7. Chicago 8. St. Louis 9. Toronto 10. Colorado 11. Columbus lol

Damn I wish I could go, and I would but my wife is set to deliver our newest member of the family on Dec. 26th. Poop! (andprobly lots of it) lol -
Not sure if this has already been shared. Definetly not worth a new thread, but I thought I would share that Nonis is most likely joining the Ducks soon. I guess to be brought on as an advisor. Burke and Nonis together again. Fitting, I think. I hope they destroy the Ducks organization like they did in Vancouver. imo I think Nonis will run the Ducks and Burke will go to Toronto still! http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=241170&...s=headlines_nhl

So we as fans whine and complain all year about Pierre, Milbury, Eddie Olczyk, and the rest of these guys not giving Detroit any respect. Now some people, not me, and not you are calling us a lock. Cause there is no such thing. So now we need a thread about people giving the Wings to much credit now. Is it to much respect now? make up your minds. God forbid someone, anyone, a total nobody stating the Wings are a lock. Who gives a s***. As long as my favorite team, kicks ass all year long and wins the Cup. The organization has class, what else do you need? f*** the lock, lets play hockey!
-
I love the guy, but this year is not the time. I wouldn't mind seeing him retire in Detroit when that time comes.

I am having a hard time understanding people who want to have a team in Vegas. Me I am all for it. But they want to move a team from Phoenix, which actually has a decent fan base. The people in that desert love their teams, and they love hockey. So the people on here that believe to have a quality franchise, you need weather to be s***ty and the temperatures cold, get a reality check! Were not playing pond hockey here! And if you want to talk about arenas with s***ty ice, then you need to put MSG at the top of your list. I have never known PHX to have anything but a well kept ice surface. edit:clarity

That would actually work out better. -

If Hossa's girl is going to be there.....then I might have a valid reason of showing up to a game or all of them. -
I think he should punk lilja for his number!
-
His biggest issue in his career is playing a complete season without injury, so if this guy can stay healthy; This guy is going to be hitting everything in his path, and I personally love it. As long as he keeps his skates on the ice, not taking penalties its all good!
-
So who is this Hossa guy everyone's so freaking excited about? Ha ha!!! Who's the best GM now? Burke who. The following teams can now salivate at the upcoming season, because the Red Wings are going to deliver an ass kicking: Anaheim Thugs San Jose Shower Sharks Calgary flamers Montreal armpitts, burgh Has anyone gotten Delta Burke on the horn over there in Anaheim yet to tell him the great news?

I say the Wings offer him a couple mil for the cap, and then just give him the Tigers, under the table of course. Hell give him Joe Louis Arena. He could rename it "Mats Sundin Arena". He could rename the Tigers and call them the Detroit Mats! Hell I dont know anymore. I wish he would just sign with anybody at this point. I think Phoenix takes him and Hossa both That way Gretzky can come out of retirement and create a top scoring line. lol j/k, very tired tonight!

I was just reading over on the Pens forum for a few laughs about how they feel they are really getting the shaft. They are all butt hurt about Hossa rejecting their offer, Malone ditched them, and some old washed up guy name Roberts even bailed. But what was funny was they were talking about their defense pairings, and were bummed when they weren't able to get their hands on Lilja! Just thought I would share! Found it a little amusing.

just me at the drag races some time back Here is my son and I wiping down the bike.

I have already explained my feelings on this guy. I like him, I think he is a good player, but I dont think he desires to play in Detroit. And I dont believe he is worth what teams have paid him. I loved that hit on Crosby, and Iloved that Kronner played great with him. I hope he does sign, for a discount!
-
doesn't he have the most blocked shots on the team? thats usually a good thing.
-
I am not a huge fan of Lilja either. I have always been a Cheli fan, but his solid D-man days are over. I wish he would retire, and I was hoping KH would offer a measely deal to Lilja. Brad Stuart isn't a bad player. I just dont believe in his play all the time. He is an excellent partner to Kronwall, and if the team could sign him for a reasonable amount of money to keep that partnership together, then so be it. Hell I wouldn't complain there. my biggest beef with him, would be his so called value. Because other teams have over paid him in the past, and he now expects the same or more money from a far superior team. And no Lidstrom would never face the same type of criticism if he made the mistake in game 3. He has earned his right to make a mistake from time to time. He is nearly flawless every other game. There is a reason why he makes what he does. Stuart has never proven his worth, at least in my eyes. (imo)

Baseless how? I am showing an image hours after the cup being won. Sitting alone and all. It just adds to me thinking that he was a temporary player in Detroit. It's fairly simple to say that any player looks better when they are on the ice with players from the Wings. I am aware he is a talented D-man. I have just not been completely sold on his comittment to this team. it seems as since they first signed him, the rumors were that he wouldn't stay long, and he was happier in California. I just don't believe he is as good as teams typically pay him.
