    Lilja re-signs w/2-year, est. $2.4M deal

whats your love fest with this guy. He made up with it in big ways how. A good hit? ye yeah he looks real happy to be with this team, hours after winning the cup! but then again so does Chuck Norris a.k.a Draper.

    Lilja re-signs w/2-year, est. $2.4M deal

thank you. I know all the D-men make mistakes, but this guy made a couple costly ones in the Finals. I know he laid down a couple hits, but big deal. Hell Lilja can hit. Brad Stuart is not a top D-man. I live in the LA area, and have seen him play many times, and I am not impressed. My opinion though of course.

    Lilja re-signs w/2-year, est. $2.4M deal

Thanks for the update at least. I am not a huge Lilja fan, but we dont really have much say. I say let Stuart walk. The guy doesn't want to be here. He was a little bit of a liability, I thought during the playoffs. I am not understanding why everyone is so far up this guys ass to sign. Is it because the hole it leaves and the lack of quality D-men available?

    Naslund

Will someone please tell me if the Rolston deal is done yet. I thought the deal was done already, or can in not be completed til the first of July? I just keep hearing about possibilities of signing him in Detroit still.

    Wings interested in Ray Emery

you know, it's nothing personal against any of these goaltenders. Just to break it into the nhl is nearly an impossible feat in itself. And I know a change of scenary for some players can really be beneficial. But for me, I guess the list of possibilities this year are just not very appealing to me. My dream would be to have to well paid goaltenders share responsibilities all year. I know that Ryan Miller is a total pipe dream, and has no chance of being a Wing. It's not a popular idea to pay two decent goaltenders to share duties, but damn could you imagine how solid a team would be at the goaltenders position? I was a little bummed when Anaheim had put Bryzgalov on waivers last year. To bad Anaheim did it when they did. I could have gone for a back up like him here.

    Wings interested in Ray Emery

NO TO THESE GOALTENDERS: 1.EMERY 2.RAYCROFT 3.KOLZIG 4.SANFORD 5.JOSEPH I would love to have Ryan Miller, but he is a total long shot. I say we stick with Howard.

Wings vs Leafs on October 9th

Did I miss somewhere in the previous posts, but where is this game being played? Cause I am actually planning a trip to Detroit that is including a visit to Toronto in October. Please somebody tell me, I am really stoked about them playing.

Derek Meech named Wings' rookie of the year

That's what I am saying! Helm was full of grit, very agressive throughout the playoffs. maybe they dont count the playoffs for that award. Nice honor for Meech, but imo, I am not totally sold on this guy. I hope he gets more ice time this year, to make me feel diferently about his play.

    Cheli close to re-signing

I totally agree. There is no reason to not sign him. He is an excellent fill in for an injured D-man. This will be a good deal to get done. People fail to realize that this a solid locker room veteran, that is willing to take a backseat to some young talent, and play a limited schedule. Some on here are way to critical about small pieces of this giant puzzle. Edit: clarity

    Nearing July 1st..

excellent. I was hoping something like this would come about.
  14. miller76

    Cory Stillman and Michael Ryder

How about we don't sign anyone flying under the radar this offseason at all. Sign the guys they have, use the drafted talent, and play legos til training camp!!!

    Sundin Headed to Free Agency

Away from all the statistics and money he wants and all, any team to acquire him will be very lucky. I just wonder about the rumors that have been talked about before are true; for example, not wanting to go to a western conf. team, favoured the Rangers as a possibility, and/or Brian Burke will perform his magic and sign Sundin. I wish the Wings would seriously consider him, being that there is money left over for somebody like this. Come on Kenny lets get r done!

    Reebok Stanley Cup Shoes

What a complete waste of money. There is no way I would sport those out in public. I love my jersies, my t shirts, and my hats, but the shoes are just over the top. People would just clown you.

    Emery on waivers

So Emery has cleared waivers per nhl.com Now what's next for "mouth, aka Emery"

    Olli Jokinen to Phoenix

Wouldn't it be a trip if PHX nabbed Hossa as well?

    Sleeper UFA's

My two cents: I second the notion of signing Craig Conroy. I really like his play, and he is a nice guy from what I have seen. I met hime years ago when he played for LA. I would pass on Peca though.
  21. miller76

    Campbell to become UFA.

Even if this is the case that Brad Stuart departs, I am not real heart broken about the thought. I was never really sold on this guy. I just felt he was brought here to help fill a temporary hole in the D during the middle of the season. I think he is a hell of a partner to Kronwall, and defenitly made Kronner look great, but I feel like Sturat was a little bit of a liability in these past playoffs. I almost feel as if this team has enough liability in playing Lilja, Lebda, and Cheli. They all have done well in certain games, and I like them, but they trouble me at times. I don't think Stuart is worth what he thinks he is. My opinion is, let SJ or Anaslime over pay him. I would take my chances with another good trade bringing in a solid D man willing to play for less and playing with a contender every year like the Wings. That or bring up a guy from GR.

    Shopping online at NHL.com

Its kind of hard to say, but i have ordered multiple items that were currently in stock, and they were shipped seperatly I am not sure why they have done that a few times with me. And as for the hat. I ordered the white Stanley Cup champions one. I must say I was very disappointed in it. For a stretch fit hat, it was to large and fit big. There was actually a thread on LGW somewhere about that hat being overly big. For me I will probably save it as a momento of this season. Good call on the black Z jersey. I have one, but it's a Cleary. I love that jersey. It breathes really well, and I dont find myself hot when wearing it. Sorry if I am not much help at what you are trying to find out, but this has been my experience with the online shop site.

    Curtis Joseph

Roloson! Your joking right? Not that Cujo is any better. I would take my chances with Howard, before acquiring Roloson or Cujo any day.
  24. miller76

    Ray Emery bought out

I think some people on here are reading what I said about acquiring Miller the wrong way. My opinion or fantasy if you will, would be to acquire him and have him share duties with Ozzie. Do I think that could happen? No. I can dream cant I? Sorry to throw a pipe dream into reality talk here.
  25. miller76

    Curtis Joseph

I guess in my own opinion, like I stated in my post. I keep hearing talk about Miller coming back to Michigan. Of course him coming here would be unfounded, I thought it would be cool to have another good goaltender to pay well and share duties like they did this year. Cause obviously it worked. Who's to say one starting goaltender and a measly back up is what your supposed to do?
