Ummm I am not thinking that is the case. Maybe a few in the Santa Cruz area at best. Head out to Huntington Beach at sunrise, as well as other numerous beaches here. Anyways people here pay attention to what players are doing, choking, getting in trouble with the law and so on. There are just many other newsworthy stories the media feels are more important at times. The stories are there, just not drilled into our heads every 2 seconds from every media outlet, so in turn makes us look like we dont like hockey or whatever! I have said it before, if it's not entertainment industry news, then it's backburner!

My opinion is: Red Wings vs Penguins. But I don't believe there is a team in the league that can handle the Wings in a series. We have had the talent, but now we have chemistry as well. The East is soft, it has been for the past couple of seasons.

I know there was a semi-recent thread covering his injury on April 3rd against Columbus. And his surgey was "acceptable", whatever the hell that means. But I was at detnews.com and checking out the galleries. Is this really the case, could he possibly be skating this soon? I know they said 4-6 months to play, but to skate after that surgery already. Is this him? It sure looks like 82 on his helmet. Good post btw. I grow tired of all the same topics and nervous energy day in day out. I freaking love hockey too. I absolutely love the Detroit Red Wings and the great state of Michigan. Though I grew up mainly in southern California listening to the great Bob Miller broadcast the Kings games as a child. The Kings were the only team in the area and were quite popular now that Gretzky came to town. The Ducks weren't even thought of yet. Travelling back to the Detroit/Utica area I would visit my grandparents, and my grandfather would take me to the Joe, which was very clean and very modern at the time. It was also very empty because plain and simple the Wings were not good. My grandfather would tease me, that he was going to stop bringing me to the games, because everytime I went, they lost. I guess vivid memories of being an innocent child and the love of the game passed down through family. I guess now I just enjoy the exploding hits, the speed, the talent, and all the little things that go into every game. Now I pass it on to my children. (Some of you have seen this pic, but some haven't. How cool is it to have a son who loves what you love just as much) I love this freakin game!
