What can we afford? Or should I say who? Can we afford Hossa, Federov, Cleary, and Mac. Maybe Stuart? Do we really have he ability to structure up deals for these big names?
-
I agree.
-
I hope your right, because they have been playing good lately. Look at them in the standings too.

What about getting into a series with injuries still out there for us? I am wondering if when we get there will Lidstrom, Cleary, Kronwall, Hasek, Rafalski, and the list goes on....will they be 100% at that time. I read today that Cleary's injury is worse than what they are reporting. I am not trying to over worry about this, just a bunch of what ifs i guess!

You make sense, and I have to agree with you. But every site I go to shows Anaheim and SJ leading the way to acquire Hossa.

I was on photobucket.com and typed in "redwings" and i saw it. I am not sure if there is a bigger one around or not.
-
Honestly, can you be a Redwings fan & a Blackhawks fan at the same

Redwings are definetly my team, I think the soft spot for the Leafs is more "feeling sorry" for what was a great hockey organization. -
Yeah and if you look at the hit in the video, it's on Lang!

If Anaheim doesn't seem to have the cap space, then why are they up there in contention with us or others for players like Hossa, Sundin? Those are going to be big money contracts, especially if it's true that Hossa will only take a long term big dollar contract. As well as Sundin, they know what they have up there in Toronto with him.
-
Hockey? You mean the sport? lmfao
-
Im right there with you. I only hope KH is thinking what were thinking. Im thinking San Jose and Anaheim may find him intresting, if Hossa or Sundin don't land there!
-
I haven't seen any real proof. Nothing other than that link someone put up earlier. It's not any of the sites like redwings.com, nhl.com, espn.com. Nothing. I would think it would be there right under Lidstroms injury report. I guess I am just tired of the BS. I need real proof!

Was just poking around looking for an Atlanta Thrashers site similar to this, and this is what I found from what you guys are talking about. http://thrasherstalons.blogspot.com/

I know one thing for sure, and that is Toronto is in a really deep hole, and they are just digging it deeper. What a s***hole. Sundin, Kaberle, are there trying keep it together, while the front office is saying too bad! Toronto was such a great rival, it's too bad. I feel sorry for the people in Toronto and their players.

I have been searching everywhere tv and internet since this was all posted. There is nothing yet to verify it. Keep your fingers crossed!

I hope there is truth to that story.

I just was on ESPN.com Check this story out! http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/columns/stor...&id=3253963

Is this guy bulls***ting us with flip?
-
yeah i think every goalie would be like this is bulls***!

I know it seems Franzen is quiet at times, but I would hate to see him go. I am guessing he is pretty good trade bait. My question is Ericsson? I believe it also that he is next in line when Cheli hangs em up, but why is Meech and Quincey always getting the call to fill in when needed. We never see Ericsson!
-
I wouldn't expect to see it anytime soon in the nhl. But I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing. I guess players like Lidstrom who have/will play their whole careers with one team could be labeled as a franchise player. It's just a showing of confidence in the organization such as Detroit for Lidstrom. i think some on here would say, yeah a franchise player is our Captain, duh! But I think if you look around the league, that's not always the case.
-
Anyone can only guess what they will want for Hossa, if in turn it became a possible deal with Detroit. They knowwhat they have, and they probably aren't going to settle for a player, but probably 2 if not three. I am guessing they will want Flip for sure, as well as Cleary, and someone up and coming from GR. I think as we get closer here, we may hear more about teams willing to deal with us, if Kenny shops Cleary or Franzen. Just my opinion! God forbid dealing Cleary, I think that would definetly hurt us no matter who we picked up.

I loved it Lappy just got handled by Downey. It's about time we get physical here. It looked as if Lappy was doing his Lemeaux turtle impression!!

So the game has been over for nearly a couple of hours, and I have heard nothing about Ozzie's play tonight. And the SHUTOUT! I thought he was stellar. he bailed the D's asses out a couple of times! I just think that he deserves quite a bit of credit for his ability to shake two consecutive early exits. Though I believe the goalie usually gets the shaft and embarrassment of it all when the whole teams collapse and gives up goals. So where are all of you wings fans that have been ranting and raving about trading him and getting rid of him, putting his ass on waivers and all this other stuff. Ozzie is not Hasek, he is not Luongo, he is not Brodeur, he is Ozzie! And Ozzie will go down as a great goalie, when it's all said and done! He is human just like you and me! So lets here it for Ozzie tonight guys! THE STREAK IS OVER, anyone else happy about this?
