It's not an I told you so at all. It's the fact that people on here get so worked up over a player not playing to their expectations every night. Ozzie played good, I think that people need to remember that he is one of the reason we are in the position that we are in. I am sorry if certain people on here feel it is necessary to speak highly of a player who had a good game, hence the name of the site "Lets go Wings" Who cares where it is. And it's hardly going to spark a goalie war!

I am not understanding this can of worms crap. I am just tired of people on here bashing a good player, when we are on a rare losing streak! If what I wrote pisses people off, well then tuff!

So now that I have moved my depressed ass from the tv to the pc, after watching yet another loss. Even though we lost I thought Jimmy Howard looked really good. The one goal hurt us, but I think he did well. I think he deserves a shot in Colorado. I expect him to be sent back down GR when Hasek recovers. But I am thinking Hasek retires at the ned of the season, Cup or not. I think Howard and Ozzie battle it out next year, or something similar type of sharing the responsibility. So what does everyone else think of Howards future this year and next?

I know the deadline is getting near and I am sure KH hhas a lot on his mind right now. But how much will we see the Wings do this year? Are we that good where KH is like we have what we need, or are we going to fill up the cap? Is the Sundin thing dead yet? The Blake thing seems to be getting more talk. I can't see us giving what these teams are going to want in return for Hossa or Federov. What about Schneider returning? I have been hearing he will be a Blackhawk when it's all over. Is Shanahan gone forever? I have heard twice now about Shanahan moving, any truth to that? Also heard another rumor that the Wings were intrested in Ray Emery. Not sure if there is any truth to that. As for moving any existing players currently Wings. I think that Lilja does a lot of stuff we dont see, but in all honesty I believe he tends to be a liability. I think Hudler, Quincey, and Samuelson's days are numbered. I know KH loves Sammy, but business is business. And what do you think of McCarty returning to the Wings by the playoffs for a possible rematch with the Ducks?

I have read all of your responses trying to defend Samuelson here. I watch every game as well. Sammy may be the butt of all of our jokes, but the truth is, he is not performing to the standards of what the Redwings and their fans expect out of a goal scorer. Him and Hudler look like scared twins out there. They look as if they have no confidence and no drive. Samuelson is absolutely a liability as well as Lilja. I think KH has Sammy and a few others that are not performing on his little list of players he's willing to trade. The truth is the there is no secondary scoring right now. Where is Sammy, Kopecky, Hudler, Filpulla????

I think he should be traded for the pure reason of taking Cleary out. My wife said Sammy looks like a homeless person that asks for money in the Wal-Mart parking lot!

I don't think I am understanding the Dan Cleary situation. I have heard that he is out for the season. Is this including the playoffs? (If we make them) And every now and then I hear his name being brought up about a trade. I hope there is no truth to that. I have read that he doesn't want to play anywhere else, and if the Wings were to sign him, he would have to settle for less money. Doeas anyone else have anymore insight to Dan Cleary?

No I am not serious about making the playoffs. I just hope they can turn things around here soon, I am seriously falling into depression about this streak. I am just another spoiled fan. I have every expectancy of winning the Cup this year.

It doesn't surprise me that writers in Colorado write what they write. When your the best, thats what happens people will pick you apart and find anything negative to post about you, because thats all they have.

I don't know if KH is willing to make that type of blockbuster deal. I am sure if this losing streak and these supposedly secondary scorers don't step up, he may have too. A little over one year ago I was involved in a devistating motorcycle accident that nearly ended my life. I knew that I would spend quite a lengthy time in front of the TV recuperating. My wife knowing that I would go nuts laying around, got me the ultimate gift of "NHL Center Ice". Sitting around doing nothing but watching every Redwing game and as many other league games as possible. I have never been able to watch hockey so closely, and keep up with the stats and everything .WHAT A JOKE THE NHL OFFICIATING IS! Are you kidding me? I am not going to go off on a rant here about every hooking call, but at least institute some type of system of review when there is a possible goal scored, or some game altering action. I am really proud of the NHL at totally embarrassing themselves on national television (NBC) last Saturday when the Redwings played the Ducks. I know the goal was immediatly waved off, but there needs to be some type of automatic review when the game is either in a certain time frame of the third period or overtime. The NFL has the review option that lets the lets the coaches from each team have three red bean bags they can throw on the field when they feel there was a bad call. I know there are the skeptics that says it slows the game down and all that crap, and it would, but at least put something rational in, that makes these officials liable. But I would prefer to at least have a fair outcome. I hate losing to the Ducks more than any other team out there, not to mention I live in their market. But I would rather lose cause we sucked that day, not because the ref is tired of the Wings winning everything. Bettman is a disgrace and so are his policies. What do we do to get our pastime back from this ****** bag?

I hate to say this, but I agree that our secondary scoring is not there. What happens if Datsyuk goes down, and Z's back can't hang? Cleary isn't here. Hudler, Flip, Kopecky, Sammy were the players designed to step up, and their not. If I was Babcock, I would start charging these players front row ticket prices, until they step up and produce. Because as of right now, they are spectators!

I voted to remove Florida and Edmonton. But I had a hard time picking a canadian team. I would rather move Phoenix back to Winnipeg. Florida and Nashville should also be sent elsewhere like to Hamilton ON, and somewhere colder than Nashville.

It is all about understanding the system in how we play the game. It just seems certain teams out there that have a dominant amount of players from one country puts a larger importance on being buddies off the ice as well. I can't see Jagr being a western player anytime soon and certainly never a duck!
