Welcome to the Jungle - Guns and Roses

I don't see this team getting better any time soon. I think they will show flashes of positive play, from time to time. But will stay consistently in the lower half of the eastern conference. To many bad trades, poor drafting, and consistently over paying marginal payers. All this comes down, not on the players, but the management. Why Leafs ownership, old or new, has allowed this to occur for many years now is unbelievable.

Cue the, “Oh, s***” alert: Expressen’s Linus Hugosson let me know via Twitter that he spoke to Red Wings director of European scouting Hakan Andersson recently, and Andersson told Hugosson that Brad Stuart is definitely leaving the Wings this summer. Stuart leaving

If this team is going to win any series, they must: 1. Find some type of powerplay. Actually score, and not give up an embarrassing SHG. Ridiculous. 2. Howard will have to play out of his mind, and if he doesn't, Mac has to come in for relief. 3. Franzen has to stop being a sissy boy, use his big frame, and SCORE ******* GOALS!!! 4. Datsyuk has to dangle, dangle. 5. Cleary has to find that gear, like he has shown is past playoff series. 6. The Helm, Abdelkader, Miller line has to keep doing, what they have been doing! Side note, Miller needs to toughen up. Bugs me, he's 'soft'. I don't care who Detroit plays. In 2006, I begged for this team to play the Edmonton Oilers. And we all know that story. For me, that seasons early exit has been the most disappointing in recent memory.

As I get older now, I don't hate those good opposing players much anymore. Crosby, Letang, Kunitz, Pronger, Selanne, to name a few. I look at them and say, "they must be pretty effen talented to beat my team." But the players that do piss me off the most though, are the ones we have traded away, lost to waivers, or to free agency, because they kind of sucked on the Wings. Holland did what he had to do. Then the very next time Detroit plays these teams, with these former players, they light the f***in lamp on us everytime! Damn that pisses me off. Kopecky and Samuellson couldn't find the net in Detroit to save their lives, but as soon as they got to their respective teams, they score! That drives me crazy. And who would have thought, 2010 came, we got rid of Leino and Kopecky! Great! Everyone is happy. Next thing you know Detroit is eliminated, and watching the Stanley Cup Finals, highlighted by 'great efforts' from Kopecky and the s***hawks, against Leino and the Flyers! I can't believe I used the word 'effort' in the same sentence as either one of those guys.

EJ Hradek @EJHradek_NHL Reply Retweet Favorite · Open SJ head coach Todd McLellan is being helped to the Sharks dressing room after going down behind the bench. Hope he's okay. Great guy Been switching between games, and missed it. Now this: EJ Hradek @EJHradek_NHL Reply Retweet Favorite · Open McLellan slowly walked down the tunnel to the locker room. He was not hit by a puck, from what I understand. He might have fainted

I actually used to work in NASCAR, about 11 years ago, as a crew member. It was a switch from the 7 years I spent previous working in drag racing. I can understand that some people don't get the allure of it. I have always thought of motorsports as an 'acquired taste'. Certain parts of the country, it's a cult following of the sport. But yes I do get it. The person below me is at work, but not really working.

I have always believed if you agree and sign a contract, you need abide by the terms. I do agree that demanding a trade during the season with a short list of teams is a little excessive, and quite frankly would seem a little out of character for him. I have to figure this is all a direct result of poor management.

I know sometimes we would like to see our team make a splash and grab a 'name'. But I am also in favor of that saying, " sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make", and I believe Holland showed his ability as a great GM in this league. He is able to not get that tunnel vision and overpay for players, and get into pissing contests with other teams.

What an absolutely large mistake in revealing that he asked to be traded. What good could it possibly do? Nash, who seems to be a classy guy, is going to play like he always does, but now he probably gets boo'ed in his own barn. Talk about a guy that is going to be counting down the games til the end of this season and chapter in his career. I look forward to the day Howson loses his job. A day, maybe two days after Scott Arniel was let go, he was on the nhl xm channel. He was bummed he was out of a job. But he sounded almost relieved to be out from under the stress of that organization. He almost sounded baffled to the degree that, that organization was that poorly managed and ran. Instead of getting rid of Hitch or Arniel, they should of gotten rid of Howson!
