But ultimately I think Kovalchuk will sign in the KHL, for a duration that would run through the next olympics in Sochi. xm reports frequently about him, not wanting to be put in a situation of being under contract with a team in the nhl, and the nhl not participating in the next olympic games. I guess he is playing in the games, whether Bettman says so or not! Kovalchuk exiting out to the KHL for four years or so, might be a big wake up call to this league, and one more black mark on Bettmans record of trying to be a ******* control freak!

Your surprised he was a -25.2 this season? He was a -23 in 08-09 season, and a flat 0 in 07-08. The best he has been in the last ten years is a +7 back in the 06-07 season. He is typically in the negative.

My guess is either LA, the Island, or the KHL.
