Injuries piling up or not, this team has personnel that I have no confidence in any longer. My confidence in Osgood is completely gone. I sigh and mumble 'F' bombs when I see him in net prior to a game. When Leino is on the ice, I key in on him. He is a complete pylon! He just looks like another skater hanging around the play. He never is the play! I have long been a supporter of each and every player in the Detroit locker room. But this team is no longer employing just one or two sand baggers in this line up. I am not just talking about the typical Lebda and Meech sucking. And I am not saying they need to start trading away the depth or trading away the core players. But changes need to be made. So say a deal or an offer from the Wings would be in place for Kovalchuk. Atlanta isn't just going to take Leino, Lebda, and Meech! They are going to want picks, top prospects, and proven players like Helm, Filppula, and Kronwall. Would you support a deal like that?

I think Bertuzzi having success as of late is a little of a surprise. I didn't expect this type of play from him this season. Especially with the injuries and the play of other certain roster players this year. Bertuzzi has really helped the team get a few wins now. We can sit here and complain about the teams play. But I can't complain about him!

You know what I didn't expect them to win last night. Any sane person could see that coming. Playing on a back to back against a stellar, healthy team. I didn't start this thread because the team lost. I started this thread in the second period of last nights game. Mostly because you could see the lack of effort and finesse this team employed in certain players that either are tired, hurt, or flat out have given up. I was pissed at the inability of a young powerful, strong player, like Leino. Who should be full of piss and vinegar trying to prove all of his naysayers wrong. But he couldn't even finish a check last night. He let up every time. And I really enjoy the posts from resident LGW'ers that think they know more about the game, just because their post count on here is higher or join date was 6-7 years old now. They want to call you band wagon fans, because you speak your mind about being disappointed in certain players play. I thought this was the proper forum for this. BTW I did join the wand wagon, about 26 years ago!

Yeah this period ended a lot better then I thought it would. First shot on goal 12 minutes into the period, ouch! But ended it with 5 shots and 4 scoring chances! They are still in this.
