Any Los Angeles area wings fans know the presale code?
miller76 replied to Yzermania's topic in General
the code is not available yet. It will be sent by email Tuesday morning to the subscribers. -
Yeah back to back, preseason Friday 9-25 in Detroit, Saturday 9-26 in Toronto Regular season just once in Toronto. For a HNIC, Saturday November 7

I am actually real excited this year for them. Komisarek is my favourite American player at the moment. I am also becoming a Luke Schenn fan as of late. I am planning on seeing them Oct. 26th in Anaheim. Can't wait.

Wow, this is horrible news. I couldn't imagine losing any of my children. My condolences to the Theodore family. Now I feel bad, cause I bag on this guy all the time, about his play. But hockey becomes so 'backburner and small', when news like this happens. Sorry Theodore. Best wishes.

I have heard in the past that some organizations do prefer their players to wear numbers under 60. As for why, I have no idea. But when I played hockey through high school and in leagues following high school, we could wear any two digit number we liked other than '00', or '69' lol. You were an automatic target if you picked '99', cause you thought you were Gretzky or whatever. But I was on a team once, and the coach gave this real jackass the number '98'. Cause the guy would always say, "I am one step away from the nhl greatness". He later quit. lol. Good times.

Is that really the best they could due? Come on, it's the olympics. The Canadian jersey is just awesome compared to these. I pull for both teams, being that I am a canadian living in the U.S. The IOC really tied everyones hands this time around.
-
check this link I just found. Talks about Bert, Helm, Eaves and so on, and what numbers they may wear this season. http://www.detroithockey.net/pressbox/news...review_2009.php
-
And if I am correct here, Patrick Eaves will wear 44 this year, like he has in Ottawa and Carolina. I couldnt tell you what number Bert will wear.
-
without trying to find a picture or link, I thought I remember Downey wearing 44 for a minute.

I am honestly surprised at how many posters there are on here, that are disappointed in what the team has done. Our off season signings imo, were locking Zetterberg and Franzen up. Those were the important two. Hossa was a pipe dream and an expensive one at that. Signing Hossa would have left the team exposed and unable to sign pluggers, like Eaves and Williams. I am not overly impressed with either guy, but the unhealthy, unreliable Kopecky is gone. Sammy was clutch at times, but often too hot and cold. I think signing Bertuzzi is a steal for 1.5 million. I just hope he stays healthy, cause if he is, he will produce. I would much rather be in this situation as a fan with this team, then any other. I dont think there is a ton of pressure in Detroit this year, like there would be in S.J., Montreal, Boston, Calgary, Philly, or even Vancouver this year. Those are going to be pressure cookers this year.

Here is another one of him.

Dwayne Klessel is actually Eklunds real name. Check this link: http://www.kuklaskorner.com/index.php/hock...ategory/Dwayne/

Damn. This is like a freakin reunion show! Williams and Bertuzzi. Wow. I am sure Cory Cross and Jason Woolley are available. Maybe we can trade Lebda for Devereaux, and sign Lang, and Lapointe as rentals. Looking forward to this season.

Honestly, no need to apologize when the pictures are that good! I love pictures of women in their Wings gear.
-
If those are indeed the jersey, I will get one. Those are bad ass.

I guess just a reminder, tomorrow Tuesday the 11th is the Red Wings day for this. If anyone cares
-
As much as I despise the Ducks, it would be hard to not consider him. I was thinking Iginla.
-
nobody is saying online. He made 1.775 million per season, for the last three seasons. His new salary is probably in the neighborhood.
-
so who would be next in line for the cover?
-
Well that sucks, Detroit wasn't able to acquire him. All the rumors with Grier never seriously pin pointed at Detroit anyway. Everyone at one time seems to pick a group of desired places to play, and Detroit pops up on their lists. Thats a good thing imo. Holland and Babcock have their way of doing things, and picking up players with certain style of play. I am sure we all would like to see this team get tougher. But if they aren't the grittiest and they get the job done, so be it. I am not going to sit here at my keyboard and throw a fit about not signing some third liner or worse!

Ticket pricing? Please. Have you ever been to Calgary, Vancouver, Anaheim, or LA? Try 3 and 4 times the price in Detroit.

I really do believe the Ducks would like to trade Giggy and that massive salary of 13 million over the next two years. The problem is, he is unwilling to waive the NTC. His son has some eye issue/disease of some sort, and requires a doctors care fairly often. Giggy has spoken publicly that he would stay for that reason alone in the Anaheim area. I always hoped the habs and ducks would make a blockbuster trade sending Giggy home there to play in goal. I think Montreal could really give him and his career a spark.
