I think there was a thread on him already in the last week or 10 days ago. The general consensus on him seems to be 'no thanks' around here.

No I didn't miss the injury last season. I just hadn't realize that severing the achilles is career ending. I sliced mine up as a child, and it healed fast. I guess it's a worse injury he sustained then I figured. That's too bad.

There isn't much left. But I still like Robert Lang on one of the two bottom lines.
-
That may be all fine when playing a team that doesn't shoot the puck often, but what's the plan when facing a team that does shoot from everywhere inside the blueline with somebody parked in front of him? And in all honesty your D is good, but not great.
-
Tell me something. Do you honestly think your team can win with Huet?
-
I think he is a little too pricey for Detroit this year. There has been a lot of rumor about him heading back to Colorado or even LA.
-
Wow the Hawks are going to look really foolish next season with all these great signings, and a goalie that can't stop a beachball.
-
Not yet. xm radio has been saying for a few months now, that both sides are talking. And Vancouver will do everything in their power in re-signing him. They made a big deal about him getting signed soon and doing the draft pick for the team, like we saw. In all honesty, imo, I believe he is grossly overated.

this is an update from Gillis about Schneider http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=284010

Being that I live in southern California, I have seen a lot of R. Niedermayer, Marchant, and Moen. I really liked Marchants and Moens play. I think Rob Niedermayer is fairly worthless without a really talented supporting cast. I really hope we can get Moen. He is so strong.

Looks like he is planning on ending his career as a Flyer. Good riddance to him. One less set of flailling arms in the Western Conference.
-
I am guessing Stastny is next in line for the C there. If not him, then maybe Hejduk.

The Wings will go undefeated and sweep the playoffs for the Cup!

I met him probably close to two years ago now. I have met a fair amount of players in my life, but he was one of the nicest players I have met. He just seems like one of those good guys in the league. It's just unfortunate for us that he played well for the Pens against the Wings. Some of the biggest assholes on the ice, are typically the nicest in person. Pronger, Parros, and Lappy were more then nice to me. And I typically would wear some Red Wing paraphernalia when meeting them.
-
Well this sucks. I was hoping to see him play sometime, just not for the Avalanche!
-
He was signed for the league minimum at 500k

This Montreal jersey was pretty bad for modern times. Though I am pretty much a fan of most of the O-6 team jersies and logos. One of my favorites is the off white Toronto jersey from 1967.

Did anyone realistically believe that the Wings would have made a splash today? I just feel like, once Hossa rejected the offer from the Wings, we would most likely be silent and be an observer. I think as fans of this hockey team, we should be thankful that Ken Holland isn't getting this team in over their head. I think Montreal, Chicago, and the NYR grossly overpaid for some of their acquisitions today. Gaborik: 7.5 a year, with his health issues. Cammalleri: 6.0 a year, way too much Hossa I don't believe was overpaid, but I do believe Chicago will now have to move some serious salary next year, due to Kane, Toews, and possibly Keith coming up for new contracts. Yeah good luck with that! I am glad that Z, Datsyuk, and Franzen are all locked up for many years to come still. Good job Kenny

thats signature worthy. good post.

http://www.ctvolympics.ca/hockey/news/news...html?cid=rsstsn A lot of talent there. Just one Red Wing though, Dan Cleary.
-
I am guessing at least 5. Especially teams like NYR and Montreal, who seem to pay whatever it takes. Edmonton always seems to be a little over anxious with certain players in what they offer.
-
I am just glad I didn't buy a Hossa jersey! But in all seriousness, I just have never bought into the elitism in Hossa. Talented yes. I just don't put him up there with top tier players in this league, imo.
-
I think Ottawa should send him to the AHL next year, wipe that money off their payroll, and wait for the contract to expire. That will show him.

he just rejected Edmontons offer per tsn http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=283472
