    09-10 season

I really want to make it to opening day, and spend a week in the Detroit area. I like to visit with all good people I know there. And of course I always go to the two games in LA and Anaheim. And usually I try and do at least one game in Phoenix for the season. Hopefully they will be there this season! They have a great building to play in, parking is a breeze, and all of the places to eat and drink right outside the front entrance is real nice. It's too bad Phoenix is in the hole that it is, because it truely is a neat place to catch a game.

Brad Stuart Hands The Pens Victory

It's funny this thread is here on this day. I think it was just a day or two afer the Cup was won last season, everyone was all up Stuarts ass. After last seasons playoff performance, I was no completely sold on him. I was one of the few on here, not wanting him to be re-signed. And certain posters who are still posting tonight on here were all over my ass about it. Praising him for his good deeds. He has been over paid and over hyped since the Joe Thornton trade that involved him.

    Marian Hossa Discussions

My post had nothing to do with the seeding. I basically said he contributed all season. Hossa sucks? You suck. Lets see you strap on the gear and get pumelled!

    Tippett fired in Dallas

I am sure he will fill one of the many vacancies this off season.

All the Pressure is on the Wings for Game 7

I totally understand your view and thoughts on this, but I believe there is say 38 years of history against you, if your Pissburgh. I think it would be a total hockey changing thing if the Pens were able to achieve a win here friday. I still believe the odds are against them.

If the Penguins play like they can, he will be exposed just like Ericcson is game after game.

All the Pressure is on the Wings for Game 7

I think the pressure is actually on Pissburgh. They know they can't win in Detroit. They haven't thus far. Its obviously a homer series. The Wings would have to totally collapse and not show up.

    great idea. you fail.

I am not impressed with his play either this playoffs, but he is a reason why game 7 is in Detroit and not in Pissburgh. He played well for the team all season and helped them achieve a higher seed for the playoffs. I think you are all still a little emotional from the loss. Get over it. friday is the day.

New Trophies You'd Like To See

Okay if were nominating fanbases, I nominate Pissburgh! I think it's really big of them to spend all this money on authentic Crosby and Malkin jersies just to cover them up with cheap white t-shirts! If they all want to look a like, do the Calgary thing. They look way better.

    Questions about Hossa and Pittsburg

    great post. totally agree.

    Debating another jersey.

I love my black practice Cleary jersey. We have always won, when I wear it to a game. Just promise me people you wont get this one. This is the guy sitting in front of me at game 2. Oh and that's my finger too. Oops!

    Debating another jersey.

I have quite a few jersies. But I only have three RW jersies. WC Lidstrom, red Cheli, and a blk practice Cleary. The ones that I would like are gonna be Datsyuk, Z, Helm, and Ericcson. I have been looking for a good looking Sawchuk one for years. I have a Northstars Modano, the white Nordiques Sundin, a Winnipeg Selanne, and a Toronto Sundin.

    Colorado and Granato part ways

I have probably been a Wings fan longer than you have been alive. Even when the team wasn't all that good during the eighties. So don't incinuate anything about not being a true fan! And believe me, I am glad as well I am not a fan of that thing you have down there disguising itself as a professional hockey organization.
  22. Yeah I couldn't possibly imagine not watching the game. Could you imagine the Finals being on the Lifetime Network? "Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals will not be shown, due to the Golden Girls Marathon"

    For all those whining...

Me messing around at the Joe last Sunday. 'For all those Whining' - nice title from an opposing fan on a forum. Officiating is part of the game. Just show me some consistency and I will be happy.

Something that I've noticed about Mellon Arena

The only thing that looks dumpy at the Joe is their bathrooms, and the general area of where it's located. I think the seating at the Joe just looks more used. Personally I like it at the Joe, it has tradition. The rafters are the best though for sure.

Something that I've noticed about Mellon Arena

I have family in the Pittsburgh area. So going to Mellon Arena was always on the agenda when I was in town. I have never been impressed. They were long over due for a new building there. The new ECHL team that plays the next town over from me is bigger than Mellon Arena. Talking to some Pens fans when I was in Detroit for games 1 and 2. They said they made the drive, cause tix there in Pitt were not available. They felt they had a better chance at seeing their team in Detroit. The Capitals have been doing this for a few seasons now themselves. Ted Leonsi, who is one of the primary owners there in Washington, has talked openly about restricted ticket sales for their home playoff games. He is on xm 204 in the mornings about once a month, talking openly about this and other topics not usually discussed freely.
