Jacques Lemaire not returning as Wild coach

You have to score goals to win games! Defense is a big part of the game, but it isn't all of it. Lemaire wasn't the problem I think. I think Doug Risbrough is the biggest problem. To much talent has left that organization for nothing in return!

RWNW: Round 1 Game 2 GATHERING

Sorry Jacqui, I won't be able to make it that Saturday. I am sad, I wanted to go. I will be at work still, and will have to DVR the game to watch about three hours later! Note: To everyone on here who texts me! Don't text me that day and tell me about the game! thank you.

    Head Coaches

I thought I would compose a list of head coaches of every nhl team Who on here do you think will lose their job after the seasons end? Anaheim - Randy Carlisle Atlanta - John Anderson Boston - Claude Julien Buffalo - Lindy Ruff Calgary - Mike Keenan Carolina - Paul Maurice Chicago - Joel Quenneville Colorado - Tony Granato Columbus - Ken Hitchcock Dallas - Dave Tippett Detroit - Mike Babcock Edmonton - Craig Mactavish Florida - Peter DeBoar LA - Terry Murray Minnesota - Jacque Lemaire Montreal - Bob Gainey Nashville - Barry Trotz New Jersey - Brent Sutter NYI - Scott Gordon NYR - John Tortorella Ottawa - Craig Hartsburg (just signed 2 year deal) Philadelphia - John Stevens Phoenix - Wayne Gretzky Pittsburgh - Dan Bylsma San Jose - Todd McLellan St.Louis - Andy Murray Tampa Bay - Rick Tocchet Toronto - Ron Wilson Vancouver - Alain Vigneault Washington - Bruce Boudreau Notable coaches available: Savard Renney Carbonneau Crawford oh and Patrick Roy I think Granato, Lemaire, Mactavish, Tippett, and possibly Carlisle and Ruff lose their jobs.

    How to Avoid Anaheim

I am wondering if the San Jose boards has a similar thread going on. I think i would prefer the Sharks play the Ducks in the first round. Leave the travel in the first round for Detroit nice and easy! But nice and easy hasn't worked well this year! They have consistently f***ed up every easy game this year. Look at the losses to the Islanders, Avalanche, Stars, and Predators! This team needs a kick in the ass! If I had a choice we would play a seven game series with San Jose first round! No more dancing, just play hockey for 60 minutes, and nobody can beat ths team.

    Outside Looking In

I would say Dallas. They just never got it going for very long. Turcos crappy play and the Avery situation didn't help, I am sure. I dont really have any surprises in the east.

Icetown in Riverside. Yeah we have gone twice in the last two weeks there. When we went the other day it was real nice, cause it must have been 80-85 degrees outside. The boys are on spring break right now still.

    Lidstrom & Ericsson

Everytime I hear anything from the Wings or from some of their insiders/bloggers and other people who always seem to have solid information says Ericcson, Leino, and Helm should be full time starters. I believe it about Ericcson, but not so sure about the other two.

4/5 GDT: San Jose at Anaheim

    shg for Anaheim
  12. This is a video clip from HNIC hotstove on Saturday the fourth. The first three minutes of this eight plus minute video talks about how Patrick Roy is seeking some type of head coaching position, and rumoured to be involved possibly with Montreal and Colorado. Both teams imo will be needing coaches for next season. Gainey can't do it all with the pressures that come with being in Montreal. And we all could see what Granato is capable of in Colorado! That job is way over his head, and he should have been fired mid-season! http://www.cbc.ca/sports/hockey/hockeynigh...anada/hotstove/

I have a friend that lives in this neighborhood, and took this picture for me. What a great place to live.

I bet the Saddledome is rocking tonight! I freakin love going to games there. What a great hockey city. Drive into town, park. Drink at the Flames bar, hop on the C train to the Stampede/Saddledome. Great hockey experience. btw go flames

Like it or not, Coyotes staying put

I know this has been fairly beaten to death here. But it looks as if they are staying put. I am actually in favor of this. Mostly because it's one more place within driving distance that I can see my Wings twice a year. Though I doubt their performance on the ice will change for the better any time soon. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=415584

    Big battle out west

This game has been talked about all day long today on xm. Anaheim had just tied the game at 2-2. Took a penalty and decided to be goons, they are now down again. 4-2 Anaheim consistently plays their goon hockey. Cheap hits, cross-checking, and constant interference.

    Big battle out west

did you see that little brawl? Roloson got a penalty for leaving the crease! Thought he was going to scrap with the others.

Like it or not, Coyotes staying put

I also voted for the third option, in giving them a couple more years. They have some real good young prospects, that could possibly help this team crack the playoffs eventually. But stability at the top with ownership and the city of Glendale is where it has to start. And now thats starting to come around. I really hope they make it.

    March 26 1997

Thats game is still so vivid in my memory, it felt like it could have been played last week. I will never forget that game, standing in my living room. And just watching McCarty turn and explode all over Lemieux. He just destroyed him. I was yelling expletives one after another. And then I remember saying, "and Vernon with the effen take down! Roy ur a effen piece of s***!" And then shook nervously for about 20 minutes following it all. Crazy glory days!

    Wed 3/25 GDTs

The worst announcers have to be the Ducks, Brian 'the homer' Hayward. He is such a tool, that whines about every call or non-call. Plus he always has a crappy looking fake tan!
