What happened to this Chicago team the last half of this season? What a collapse.
-
If I remember right, wasn't the league and the media all over these blackhawks nuts back in October through January? Chicago you suck!!!!!!!!!!

Its almost 8 here. I need some dinner still. I may light up the bbq real quick!

damn I was hoping he would have gone around in another circle. s***, the shower sharks score!

Hey Doggy! Let me guess, your thinkin Arbys right?
-
Come on Hawks put this game away! Wait! Did I just say that? Holy s***. thats a first.

Being that I am a rather large guy, I needed to pick a big guy. I can be a real ******* if I dont get my way. I have always played 'D'. And I live in southern California, though I am originally from Canada. I would probably play and act something like Chris Pronger.

And you thought the rest of the league hated the Wings now! Holy s***, that would be the clincher for sure.

I have been watching/following/playing hockey for 26 years now. I would like to think I have a fairly good grasp of the game and understand it. But I have been wondering about a couple of things. Maybe you can help. Question 1: When Draper steps in to take a face-off, his and the opposing player sticks miss the puck, and Draper proceeds to grab the puck with his hand, and throws or slides it back to another Detroit player. Many times the puck will go straight to a Detroit player, without prior touching/contacting an opposing player or his stick. Why is this not ever whistled down as a hand pass? Question 2: Say an NHL player decides to play in another league and signs a contract there. He then decides he would like to return. Say Jagr. It was rumoured that Edmonton offered him a contract to return by this years trade deadline. But encountered a major roadblock in having to place him on re-entry waivers to return. A totally stupid rule that everyone must have agreed on in the last CBA signing. But my question is, who is it that puts the player on waivers? Because to put a player on waivers, I always thought you were to be in legal posession of that players contract. And if that player has no contract with an NHL team, does this team from another league still own his rights, even if there was or was not a prior agreement between the two leagues? Question 3: Is it routine or superstition for some players to do certain things that surround the game? For instance, during the tail end of the 2nd intermission on a FS Detroit broadcast, when they are interviewing Babcock. If you look in the background the only player in the tunnel is Lilja. He is usually stretching his back and shaking/kicking/stretching his legs. And before the end of the interview Paul MacLean always enters the picture. Does anyone else notice this? I often wonder how much routine there really is, or if superstition is part of their routine.

For some reason I thought the hand pass was removed entirely from the game in the NHL. I knew in the leagues that I have grown up in, that the hand pass was still legal in the defensive zone, though they have tried to remove it completely. I guess I was misinformed.

I think it will be the toughest division in the whole league next season. Even the bottom feeder Blues will be tougher next season. Just keep them off the golf course and out of golf carts!

omg! The refs changed our fate!

dont call it a comeback, we have been here for years!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just left versus a comment for their poor choice in programming. http://www.versus.com/article/view/744/?tf...terArticles.tpl

I can't say who will sign first, but I think both Franzen and Hossa will sign. I think Lidstrom is practically in the office with Holland on these deals. Him willing to take 2 million less then what he's making now, to keep the likes of Hossa and Franzen longer term. I am guessing Samuelsson and or Flip may be traded for draft picks to shed salary, keeping Hudler, and promoting Leino, and Helm. With the D, Cheli signs somewhere else, Lebda goes away or down, and Ericsson stays for good.

If I remember correctly, at the beginning of the season, all these radio personalities on xm, the tools on versus, and tsn all were picking the Ducks to win the Cup. It's nice to see that analysts/writers that make their living, by way of knowing the game, are about as accurate as meteorologists!

scotty need - a -vacation off to the lockeroom. hurt his foot or leg or something. homer announcers are all worried.
-
All we need now is the Dallas Stars on the ice with these other teams. That way we can play the game 'where's the C4' instead of Wheres Waldo.
-
sign that boy!
-
Hey! We cant talk about this yet. This is a 5 star thread and topic to talk about in the Summer! lol. But I am thinking it will be the typical guys. Lebda, Sammy, ?, and ?
-
I refuse to pick a team like SJ, Chicago, or Calgary to win the Cup. The Wings surpass every 'what if or hypothetical thread on LGW to hoist the Cup yet again. To beat the NJ Devils. Osgood gets on a roll, the ever present stick of Lidstrom turns it up, and Datsyuk bounces one off of Langenbrunners chin for the winning goal!

I think he becomes more nervous near the playoff time and swallows his gum, instead of throwing it away. Giving him the look of a man, saying to himself "man I think I might have to go, then again maybe not. s*** I don't know!"
