So this trade is more or less supposed to get done today. newsday.com (long island paper) said that Boston as well as New Jersey weren't in the mix. Possible teams were Buffalo, Carolina, Montreal, and the NYR. Whats funny, was all the hype of him going to Philly or Washington. There was this now retired player the other day on the nhl home ice show 'the war room' on xm. He actually brought up Travis Moen, and that they had played together. I can't remember who this guy was talking, but he talked about Moen just being as strong as a mule. And that he would put him up against anyone in the league. I am glad Ott was on the receiving end of his anger.

Sometimes I think we forget that these players are professional. They are able to get over their mistakes quicker and get back to being focused at their current assignment. He will be fine. He has been one of the better goalies in the league this season. If the team is second best in the West, with the type of inconsistencies in goaltending, defense, and PK, then thats pretty damn good. Just shows the rest of the conference isn't any better!

Its hard to tell who the liar really is here. Because there are reports and links all over the internet about how Gainey confirmed to the Globe and Mail, that he did indeed talked with TB about Lecavalier. Now this tool in TB says they haven't spoken in months. We should do a poll. Who's worse? the Montreal media, or the front office that's running the TB Lightning (into the ground)?

I will second that. I think acquiring him would definetly be a positive move in the right direction. I know not but a few are very high on Kopecky, but I really doubt he is going anywhere. He has lots of energy, and likes to play physical. I am not sold on him and I don't think he is even that great, but he is dirt cheap. And Babs and management like him. So were SOL!

Boston, Washington, Philly, and New Jersey seem to be the best in the east this year. I think it's going to be interesting to see how these four fair out. I still think Washington beats Boston in the ECF series.

Being that they talked about calling for the doctor is a little scary. If I was to take a wild guess, a concussion may have occured. I hope not. But I didn't really see anything else like a rib or extremity issue on the hit. I don't think there was any negligence on the play from the SJ player. Hopefully they just sat him for precautions, and everything is okay!

I really doubt fans will be mad at Holland! I don't know how fans could be upset with a guy that doesn't do what the fans always want him to do. Rather he does what he feels is best for the team today as well as a year from today. You can't help but realize that this man has consistently built good if not great hockeys teams for the fans of this organization. If and when s*** starts to hit the fan and the team turns to s***.
