The one in Phoenix, is actually in the Scottsdale area on Scottsdale Rd. But I can't think of the name. In LA they have stayed at the Westin Bonaventure and the Wilshire Grand, both are in the downtown area. In Anaheim I know they have stayed at the Sheraton Park Hotel at the Anaheim Resort.

I have known of a couple of hotels. The one in the Phoenix area, Anaheim, and LA. But the playoffs may be a stretch for any of these three.

Do you have a perticular road destination in mind?

This would be good if it was accurate! Vegas still falls into this non traditional market as Phx, Nashville, Atl, and Fla. So it is already a stretch at trying to sell the game and use the TV money from this market as a crutch like these other franchises do. A lot of Vegas is service industry, blue colar type people. And affording to go to a hockey game, especially with this economy would be a stretch. The casinos would have to buy up groups of season tickets to have the ability to comp them. Cause you can't comp something that's not rightfully yours. Plus casinos just dont comp things without something in return. The only people getting comped rooms and shows and stuff like that are people who are dropping a lot of coin at their tables or in their high roller rooms. Joe-schmoe doesn't have s*** coming playing quarter slots. And just an observation myself, I was there a couple weeks ago. The town was dead. I-15 there and back from southern Cal was empty. And for those who have travelled Friday nights and Sunday days it's usually a 7 hour ride, instead of a 3 1/2 hour ride. Vegas is struggling and feeling the impact of the economy as well. People do not have much of a disposable income as they did in recent years. But even in a decent economy, Vegas is still a vagrant city. A city that doesn't even realize that they have an echl team. And in a city that does all their business on Friday nights through Sunday morning, is a casino really going to comp someone that is gambling in their casino a three hour event that removes them from the casino? And people to fill the seats during the week would be an absolute joke.

It's kind of nice to see this team act a little human. They have been absolutely unreal this season, and especially at home. We can only hope that they run themselves out of gas like they usually do. Cause as of right now, I have a hard time believing the Wings could beat them in a seven games series.

I also have a soft spot for the B's. Them and the Leafs in the East.

I have never been a lilja fan either. I always felt he was just a 3rd D pairing out there turning the puck over. But I am really impressed with him this year thus far. Lebda has been looking a lot more comfortable and is contributing more. Kronwall has had a good couple of games, hopefully he can build on this and turn his season around.

Tuesday will be a good test for the Sharks and the Bruins. I think Boston can beat them, and beat them pretty good. Though I would hate to pull for either team, I will just watch! I say: Boston 3 SJ 1

I could totally live with this type of deal. I would hate see Franzen go, but I think Hossa is the better all around consistent player. Hopefully they will both take less money but longer terms, so they can stay this one big happy family!

I believe I have posted some of these photos in the past. But this is my son. He loves his Red Wings. He can name all 30 teams just from their team logo, some he even knows the city where they are from.

I heard talk today that Philladelphia and Pittsburgh were possibilities for him to land. I thought it was Ken Daniels today that was talking about it.

The only one on that list I like is Ballard, but he makes over 2 million a year. I am wondering how much a team is on the hook for, if it was a deadline transaction.

Home Ice is totally on the jock of SJ. Them and the Blackhawks get total love. They like to use terms of the Sharks being 'unstoppable' and 'unbeatable'. And then to say, but the Wings will be there too! The whipping boys this year by them are almost always Toronto and Ottawa! Kind of funny.

By the looks of the game NJ played tonight, you would think they have a lot of holes to fill on that team. They just lost 3-1 against the Kings. They didn't get their lone goal until the last 6-7 minutes of the game. This thread should have been about the Kings. Who have been actually playing really well. They're 10th in the west now!
