I am so happy that Downey will be on the team this year. If I had to choose between Downey and Mac. I would choose Downey. I love that guy.
-
They are a part of the team, so of course they should be able to raise the Cup and skate around with it. This experience should inspire them to become better players, so that one day their names will be on the Cup.
-
Since they paid so much money for him, Finger should be the new Captain.
-
this is sad news indeed, I wish that he had stayed with us. It will be special for him to work with his son, and I am happy for him, but I won't wish him luck with Chicago. It's too bad that his son did not work for one of the Eastern Teams.

I used to like Iginla, until last years playoffs, when he decided to try and pick a fight with Nick Lidstrom of all people. I know that he was frustrated, but that was no reason to turn into a goon. Zetterberg is a class act, so I pick him as being better of the two.
-
I was never a big fan of Shanahan, so I don't want him back. Let him stay in New York or anywhere but here.
-
It looks like he is going to be a great fit for the team. I can't wait for the new season to begin. This is going to be an exciting year.
-
Happy Birthday to my second favorite player.
-
I really liked how Helm played in the playoffs and I would pick him to play instead of Maltby. I love Aaron Downey and I want him to still be apart of the team. As for McCarty, I like him because he was a Red Wing for so long, but I don't think that he brings anything to the team. In the playoffs he was slow and took a lot of penalties. He is a great character guy, but not a good player anymore.

I think that either Hank or Pavel would be a great Captain, but I feel that Pavel would be uncomfortable with all of the extra interviews he would have to do as Captain since he seems to struggle so much with his english. It is going to be a sad day when Lidstrom retires, so I try not to think about it.

Maybe he can work with the "D" coach we already have. Cheli's experience as a defenseman is invaluable and I am sure that they could find a spot for him.
-
They should bring Cheli back so that he can mentor the young "D" , he has a lot that he can teach them. Cheli should be rotated in and out of the line-up as needed. Or maybe they should offer him a coaching job. I think that he would be a great defensive coach.

I am so happy that Stuart is staying in Detroit. He and Kronwall have such great chemistry. I can't wait to see them play together for a whole season. I love that we have the best "D" in the league.

The last time I checked this was a discussion forum, so shouldn't people be able to talk about any subject as many times as they want to?

I thought that it was a good article. The Pens should not of scored a goal on Hudler's penalty because Lilja's stick was knocked out of his hand so he has no way to defend and that gives the pens a free five on three, that is a penalty that should of been called. You can not tell me that the Refs did not see that. Also Pavel being taken down in the last seconds of the game, again no penalty. How could none of the Refs have seen that? It gave the Pens a chance to try and tie the game. I don't think that the Ref's were on the Pens side, but I thought that they blew it at the end of the game. I am just happy that the Wings won despite not getting the right calls.
-
I am glad that Cheli is coming back for another year. He is a great team player and will be invaluable in helping the younger D take their game to another level. He knows that he will have limited ice time, and if he is okay with it than we should be also.

I was happy to see Nick give the cup to Drake first, how great for him to finally get to the finals and win the Stanley Cup.
-
At the end there, Hossa almost gave me heart failure. Thank God that the puck did not go in.

I have faith in Babcock and the team, I doubt that the Wings are just going to give up and let the Pens have the Cup. The question is, do the Wings want the Cup more than the Pens? I believe that they do. Game 5 was heartbreaking, but adversity only makes you stronger. So I expect the Wings to come out flying in game 6 and win the Cup. Besides I am still getting over the Ducks winning last year, I don't know if I can take the Pens winning this year. Can you imagine having to hear Crosby's named metioned even more than it is now? It would be a Crosby love fest that would never end.
-
After listening to Crosby speak I am not impressed with him as a Captain. I think that he is too young and does not have the maturity to lead his team. A good Captain leads by example to inspire his team, not make excuses and whine about how the team cannot win because the Wings obstruct and dive.
-
I think that Crosby is in competition with his coach on who is the best whiner. So according to Crosby we have no talent, all we can do is dive and obstruct. What a great Captain, he must really be an inspiration to his teammates. I used to think that the Ducks were my least favorite team, but the Pens are trying to take over that place and they are winning.
-
I just love how he hinted at how he wants the Refs to call the next game. So is he saying that if they cannot win with their talent, they want the Refs to help them win? I wish more coaches were like Babcock, you never see him whine.
-
I really like Stuart and I am glad that he is just getting better and better as the playoffs go on. He is a great fit for the team, so I hope that he will stay in Detroit.
-
I am tired of goals being called off because it is Holstrom infront of the net. You know that if it was one of the Pens standing infront of Osgood it would of counted. Is it too much to ask for the Refs to make fair calls?
-
That is cool that the Tigers did that. I like it when the different Detroit teams show support for each other.
