The one thing about losing a lot of games, is that when you do get a win you really appreciate it. I am so happy they won.
-
Why all the concern for a former player?
-
I can't understand why some people are upset that Hossa is being booed. He wanted to be a Black Hawk, not a Red Wing. The fans owe him no loyalty, just as he has no loyalty to the Wings. Its not as if he was traded away against his will. I will never support him as a Hawk. He made his decision, and if some people don't like that he picked Chicago over Detroit, then it is their right to show their displeasure. Kane is the one who should be booed, since he has no respect for his elders. And he is the reason that I will not be rooting for team USA at the olympics.
-
People don't have to boo or cheer Hossa. If I was at the game I personally would not boo him, but if others did it would not bother me because I understand that emotions run high at games and if a player is no longer a Red Wing, fans may not like him anymore. Hossa chose to leave no one forced him to. I am sure that the boos don't even bother him. I really wish that Kane was the one getting the boos.

I understand why fans would be booing Hossa. He decided to leave Detroit for one of their rivals. What are the fans supposed to do, cheer every time he touches the puck?

I like the fact that Stuart will block shots and is capable of throwing a check. I wish more of our D men would do it. You cannot only have one physical D man and expect to win games. With Kronwall out it seems like Stuart has to try and do everything. Other teams don't seem to have much respect for our defense.

I am so happy that the Wings won. I have not been this excited about a win in a long time. Now if the Kings can just win their game against the Hawks, my night will be complete!
-
Toronto needs to be given the power to over rule a Ref, when it is obviously a good goal. The Ref should not be able to say , that he was going to blow his whistle. If he cannot blow his whistle before a goal crosses the line it should count. I don't understand why the NHL allows this sort of thing to continue to happen.
-
Incompetence, plain and simple. When they said it was a no goal, I had a flash back of Hossa's goal being waived off against Anaheim. How come it is always the tying goals that get taken away from the Wings? I wish that the NHL would do away with the intent to blow the whistle rule. If the Ref can't get his whistle up to his lips in time the play should stand. That is only fair, and it would stop legitimate goals from being taken away from teams, especially during crucial times in the game.

The team is really starting to click and playing as a team instead of a bunch of individuals trying to do their own thing.
-
I hope that May is ok, the team can't lose him too.
-
Please, Please, Please, play a full 60 minutes. That is all I ask.
-
I am going to stay positive and say that the Wings will win. I am hoping that Stuart or Kronwall will get a good hit on Sammy. And speaking of Sammy, if the Wings see him shooting high, I hope that they remember to duck.

I really hope that Howard works out, but if he doesn't I would like to trade Howard, Meech, and maybe Lebda to St. Louis for Conklin. Maybe St. Louis will be kind and help us out!
-
I am glad that he got to that milestone at home, so that the accomplishment could be fully appreciated by the home fans instead of a visitors building where he would of gotten polite applause.
-
I see nothing wrong with giving him a try, he certainly couldn't play any worse than some of our defense has.
-
I wish this game could be ended early, out of mercy!
-
I have a feeling that I am going to fall in love with May just like I did with Downey. I hope that he does not get sent down because I think that he will be a good fit on the team.
-
I wish that Babcock would put Hank and Pavel back together, you just don't mess with chemistry like that. I know that he wants two strong lines, but something is lacking.
-
I love how Brad May is so soft spoken, it is really sweet. I am glad that he is a Red Wing!
-
I love that Stuart is throwing his weight around!
-
I am all for trading Lebda and Howard to the Blues to get Conklin back! I will even throw in Meech for good measure!
-
Howard is Osgood jr. and not in a good way. I don't know if he has the mental toughness it takes to be a goalie in Detroit. Maybe I am being too hard on him, but it was hard to see Conklin in a Blues jersey. I really liked Conklin and I thought that he was a good fit in Detroit and it is too bad that the Wings could not afford to keep him. I do feel bad for the Wings because they had the Swedish crowd cheering for them and they blew two games that they should of won. They went all the way to Sweden and could not win a game for their family and friends. I want Pavel and Hank back together because neither seems to have chemistry with their lines. I know that chemistry takes time, but each of them seems kind of lost at the moment.

Even though the game doesn't really mean anything, I am glad that the Wings won, and Howard is starting to make a believer out of me. I love that Rafalski jumped in to help out Franzen, sure he is small but he was there and no one else seemed eager to offer assistance. Just when I thought that I could not like the Pens any less than I do know, they have taken over the the number one spot of the team I hate the most. The Ducks have now dropped down to second on that list.

I really wish that the Wings had kept Conklin. I think that he was a perfect fit for the team. I am hoping that Howard does well, but if he doesn't maybe St. Louis will trade Conklin for Howard and Meech. I know that it would never happen, but I can dream can't I?
