I have always liked Cleary, but I do feel that he has not been the player that he was before Samuelsson hit him in the face with the puck. He still plays hard, but something is missing. I would not want him to leave the team, he is an important role player. As for Stuart and Kronwall, I am still hoping that they will get back the great chemistry that they had last year.

The most frustrating thing is that from the coach on down to the team, no one seems to care. The Red Wings will just blow off this game as they do all of the others as if it is not important and that come playoffs they will suddenly morph into a great playoff team that will actually show up for the game. I honestly think that they are in denial about their play or lack there of. I feel bad for the fans who pay for tickets and go to a game expecting their team to hustle and give and effort, instead they get to watch a team that in not interested in even being there.

Since the Red Wings are playing like they don't want the Presidents Trophy, I hope that whoever plays the Flames takes them out in the first round. I believe that the Wings can beat the Flames, but they will come out of it a bit worn down and beat up. And that is not how you want to go into the third round of the playoffs, especially if you have to face San Jose.

I just wish that we could have Leino, Helm, and Downey on the team because they actually try and bring energy to their game.

The team needs to go back to basics and start playing as a team and not just as a bunch of individuals trying to do it all by themselves. When they want to be, the Red Wings are the best team in the league. They just need to bring the same drive and passion that they have when playing elite teams to each game.

I am excited that Downey will get to play since he is one of my favorite players, but I am mad that Leino and Helm had to be sent down. I just wish that there was a way that the two of them could of stayed and that two of the teams underachievers could of been sent down instead.

I liked the way the team killed penalties against the Pens yesterday. I liked how they were aggressive, quick to the puck, and willing to block shots. I was really impressed with Dan Cleary. If the Wings continue to play like that , then they should be fine.

The players have themselves to blame for their poor defensive play, they are the ones out on the ice. The defensive coach, can only do so much in practice and once the game starts it is up the each player to do the job that he is getting paid to do.

The team needs to do some soul searching and they need to ask themselves if they are willing to do what it takes to win the cup again. They need to get the desire to win back, they need to go back to basics and they need to start playing as a team and not just have a few individuals trying to do it all.

I don't feel that a classy team like the Red Wings need cheesy ice girls .

I would be surprised if anyone was traded, I am sure that the team wants to go into the playoffs with the same players that was so successful from last year. Once the playoffs start they can put Helm back on the fourth line and sit either maltby or kopecky. Kronwall is a good defenseman, he just needs to get back to the basics and learn to communicate better with his partner Stuart. I don't know what happened to the great chemistry that they had last year, but hopefully they can get it back. Even if Lidstrom did not have a no trade clause, why would anyone want to trade the Captain of the team who is loved and respected by all? That would not go over very well with the team or the fans. And it certainly would send a wrong message to anyone who thought about playing for the Red Wings.

Now that the Flames have tied the game, the Refs can stop calling penalties on the Wings and let them play.

I think that the blame of what is wrong with the defense has to be on the players. They know how to play good defense but they are not doing it. It seems that the chemistry that they had in June has just disappeared, and now they are playing like they have new partners that they have to get used to. I hope that Lidstrom will lead by example and get the defense turned around. Even if the team is not clicking with the new defensive coach they should still remember the basics of defense and apply it when they are on the ice.

I miss Downey, I wish he was on the team instead of McCarty. I know that McCarty tries to fight but he is not getting the job done.

I say that we keep Lilja and waive Lebda and hope some team will take him off our hands. As for Lidstrom, I think that the visor is really messing with his timing and confidence. I wish that he would take it off. The chances of him getting hit in the eye again are probably pretty slim. I just don't see how he can go from being the best defenseman in the world in June to being only average in October. It can't be age since it has only been four months since they won the Cup and nobody ages that quickly. I blame the visor.

I would love to see McCarty and Maltby sent down to GR and have Helm and Downey brought up. I know that Downey is not that talented but at least he gives his all when he is on the ice and he plays with a passion and drive that this team is lacking right now. Please put Lebda on waivers. I don't care what team he plays on as long as it is not this one.

I like Quincey, so I am glad that he is getting playing time and I hope he continues to do well with the Kings.

I have to pick Downey because I just love him. But I really really like Leino and Helm and I wish that we could keep all three. I wish that we could replace maltby with Helm. Not to be mean to Maltby but I like Helm better.

Downey is such a wonderful person, my love for him continues to grow. I hope that he has a great year.

Downey is such a great guy, I hope that he gets to play a lot this year. I know that there are other players on the team who are more talented, but I don't care, I want to see Downey on the ice.

Downey is so cool, that is why I love him. I hope that he will get some playing time this year.

I like Quincey, so I hope that he makes the team.

They will win it for Hossa. He will have the drive and hunger and I think that it will inspire his teammates. Besides I think that the Wings would love to be back to back Champs, so I expect them to give their all in the playoffs.

I am glad that Chelios will be back, I think that he still is an important player on the team, and a good team player. And I think that it is great that he is still playing because he loves Hockey and is not ready to stop. You can't fault a guy for that.
