There's a real simple solution to this. Every time the puck goes over the goal line, its reviewed. They can resume play if they want but have the video goal judges call down when the review is over and issue a goal or not. Easy, simple, and do-able. And for those three reasons the NHL won't.

Not a bad period stats wise: Wings 17 shots, Ducks 6 for a total of 28-20 edge for the wings. Faceoffs are a worry tho, Ducks are beating us there 23-19. I miss Drapes...

well stats wise we're stepping up. shots 4-1 for us this period, faceoffs are 15 a peice for the whole game. Let's hope it pays off.

I love that clip! Classic! *sigh* I miss Gary Thorne and Bill Clement calling the games on ESPN. Gary Thorne could make anything sound exciting, and Bill, well his "color" was colorful, if repetitive at times. I remember waaaay back in the day when the Wings were playing St. Louis in the Playoffs (Circa 1998) Clement kept going on and on about Al McInnis' "laser" on Ozzie goofy and kinda ***, but funny. Gary Thorne would just fall silent at that, he had no reply. Hell I miss Buccigoss too... damn you Bettman!

I heard that hockeystreams.com is an illegal feed website. However you can listen to the games on the radio for free at the NHL Gamecenter. You can watch them, if you pay $80 bucks I think. That would give you access to all the games feeds for the whole playoffs.

This game is all about executing the Wings will over the Ducks. If the Wings to that, this one is in the bag.

This is the main crux of the series so far for the Wings. Before Game 2 Lids talked about getting going out the gate and in the first two periods, for the first 10 minutes of each period the Wings were flat and let the Ducks win the battle of wills. The Wings were playing the Ducks game and not their own game. This is a team problem -- not one player. Everybody is at fault for that. The Wings need to find ways to quit playing in response to the Ducks game and play thier own. Force their will upon the Ducks and make them play to our game. This starts by winning the one-on-one battles in the game as Babcock said during Game 2. Once he said that, on TV, then the Wings showed improvement. But this was all after the Ducks damage was done. The Wings have to, tonight, come out with huge jump and win the battle of will with the Ducks. I know that's a tall order against the Ducks, they have so many veterans and they're very big (compared to us) but our boy are up to the task. Yeah the Wings, as a team, has to step up and execute their game and their will over the Ducks. (edited for spelling)

Well if Holland isn't going to bring Howard up and they are shopping around for a backup to Osgood (because it would be insane to make him a back up right now), I'd rather see Cujo come back than Ray and his head games. sheesh.

Why was this even a worry? Didn't he say a few weeks ago that he's not going anywhere, especially to coach and/or GM? He said, of the Leafs offers, that at 71 he doesn't have the energy for that anymore. Teams that make this offer to him are crazy, Scotty isn't going anywhere.

wow that's fun. I just simulated the 50-51 wings against the 07-08 wings in a best of 7 series. The Production Line and company beat the current squad 4-2. Neat. On Edit: Did it again but put Hasek in for Ozzie and, the 07-08 wings beat the 50-51 wings 4-1.

Consider the population density of those three areas against southern Ontario. There's more people in NYC than there is in the whole of Southern Ontario, and possibly Ontario it self. That doesn't mean there shouldn't be or couldn't be a team in southern Ontario, just that the population density of that area may or may not support two NHL teams.

Well I'm nervous, but then I always am when the Wings are in the Playoffs. This has been 2 months of jangeling nerves! I remember having near heart attacks in the 97-98 finals against Washington. Damn, that was amazing I still remember the adrenalin rush from that series. So yeah I'm nervous, but I'm confident that the boys in RED will win this thing. They're the better team. If they lose, it is because they beat themselves -- not Pittsburgh.
