I'm with you buddy. I was lying in bed thinking about the whole situation last night, and I was almost convinced that it had to be true. Look at the fact's here: -The page predated his career as a Red Wing -He had all sorts of Finnish friends, as well as people who claimed to be his relatives -He had some pictures that are not Internet accessible. -After he started to get all sorts of wall posts about being traded, he made his wall invisible. THen, after a little while longer, he made his whole page invisible/deleted it. What this means is that whoever created this hoax laid the ground work for it years ago, put a lot of time and work into it, all for this mighty climax point last night. Then, he fizzled away and let it die. I'm not sure whether to admire this guy/girl, or kick them in the balls/lady parts.

Well, all, its been fun, it really has, but its time for this cowboy to call it a night. Here's to hoping for some more definitely, factual information tomorrow! Night :beerbuddy:

Ya, its hard to say. THe best, and probably most rational, thing to do would be for everyone to just go about their lives until some sort of official announcement is made (or not). However, I find my time is better spent doing things that defy the conventions of rationality and practicality.

Yes, but as someone explained earlier, it may be more of a deal in principle, where the Wings are doing a sign and trade sort of scenario. Thus, nothing is final until Hossa signs an extension with the Wings, and then, and only then, would the deal be made public, which could take a day or two.

Your right, your right. This is all based on assumptions - educated assumptions of course, but still assumptions. With that said, I have yet to sing any praises to Holland regarding any of this, because whether or not the Flip situation is true, we obviously still wouldn't know all the players/picks involved in the trade going both ways. However, make no mistake, if this deal is to my liking I will have no problem writing and composing a song of praise towards Kenny Holland and singing it to him if ever our paths should cross....hell, I might do that anyways.

I think we're all aware that the anonimity of the Internet allows for this thing to happen all the time. However, we're clearly the kind of people who like to chase stories like this no matter unlikely it is that they are true. If we enjoy it, just let it happen my man. I'm gonna be honest, I've never been this enamored with a particular thread before in my life. Something about the secrecy of the thing just gets me excited. With that said, I probably should be doing something else, i.e. studying or sleeping.

He deleted his wall when he started getting bombarded by questions. He made his profile invisible probably becuase he was getting more messages and friend requests from strangers who probably wanted to know the same thing. If this were just a hoax, wouldn't the hoaxer just relish the opportunity to make it grow by sending out confirming messages and adding all sorts of new friends into the game? My guess, he let the cat out of the bag before he was supposed to, and now he's trying damage control. But what do I know, I'm just your basic everyday super-sleuth**. This is all true. Even if it is ACTUALLY Filpulla's Facebook page, and it is his status is ACTUALLY true, there would be the potential scenario that negotiation talks betwen Hoss and Kenny fall through, and nothing happens anyways. It'll be an interesting next 7 days, no doubt about it.

I'm riding an emotional roller coaster right now! I've got a mid-term to write tomorrow and I just started studying and now I just keep checking this thread every two minutes to see what people are saying. It's just so damn hard to tell whether or not this is legit, or just the elaborately planned hoax of someone with an overabundance of time on their hands. O well, I guess we'll see. It was a real uneasy feeling having to see Lids in that state, thats for sure. But looking at the replay, he clearly did put good weight on both legs before the ref supported him, leading me to believe he is alright. Maybe a game or two just to be safe, since we'll be getting Rafalski and Kronner back fairly soon.
