Haha, definitely one of the top comedian moments I've seen in hockey. Right up there with Wideman's airborne shootout.

WCF GAME 2 GDT: Blackhawks 2 at Red Wings 3 (OT)
Wingman replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
They must be very happy with him Wasn't able to see this game but still feel great about the victory! Seems like our depth/role/whatever you wanna call them came through once again. It's one hell of a thunderstorm here...maybe Thor is happy too about the victory. -

Anyone with a pair of eyes can see that there's nothing wrong with his work ethic. And since there's many aspects of his game that's working fine I don't think there's any "choking" going on at all. But one of the aspects that he's supposed to provide is offensive production, and that's clearly not working. I think one problem is that he doesn't seem to know how to solve all the extra attention he's getting (and lots of it). One key to his game is to control the puck while finding open space of ice from where he can shot or pass. He does this better than anyone. Yet the Ducks D are bogging him down very effectively, making his puck possession almost more of a liability, exposing the puck and slowing the play down. Even when he does find open space and makes a great pass, others has been unable to capitalize. Which isn't Dats fault of course. I don't know but maybe he should take a look at Z. He seem to fare fairly well despite heavy attention.

Holy crap, didn't see that at all during the game. What a dirty cheapshot. 100% on purpose, elbow straight to the head while Dats is totally unaware. It's not even disguised as some kind of body-motion -- he takes a full out swing with his arm. So classless. Imagine Lids doing something like that. And Perry...pounding on poor Rafalski, what a coward. I'm not usually a fan of retaliation, and especially not against the Ducks since it will only favor them in the end, but I wouldn't mind a Perry vs Ericsson round II.

Just don't know what to feel going into game 7. If they play like in game 4 and 5 then there's a very good chance, but with another effort like today's the odds are against us. It's a schizoid team that's what it is. Someone should sneak some Zyprexa into their food.

Since what I said was my own subjective feeling, who are you to tell whether it makes sense or not?

Running out of patience with Datsyuk...
-
Need a goal very soon or we're smoked. A few secs of PP soon right?
-
Too fancy Dats, too fancy.
-
We can keep shooting from those angles to the end of time, we still won't score. Gotta find better positions.
-
That first pass gotta be better than that. Good pressure from the Ducks though
-
Frustrating game to watch...sure Ducks has found some life but nothing really spectacular, rather the Wings seem sloppy at times and completely unable to produce high quality scoring chances. Even on the PP. It's not too late but we need to play with urgency from the first drop. Dats could lead the way with a goal on a pass from Z.

Cool, love it up there Nice to know there's other masochistic swedes sittin' up I'm working on my thesis at home so late night isn't that big of a problem.
-
Where u watching from dat's sick?

Draw after first is very much ok with me. Ducks are trying to figure something out, as expected. Long night (well, morning) ahead.
-
Whatever (if any) new strategy the Ducks is trying to implement it doesn't seem to be working, that gotta take a toll on their spirit.

Rafalski looks tip-top. Who said the medical system in the US was broken?
-
Wreckless play again by Hossa, not a good start for him.
-
At least that penalty seemed to cool the Ducks down a bit.
-
Very optimistic about this game but it's scary what a little desperation can do, and the Ducks are, or at least should be, very desperate. I guess you could say "Wary the wounded Duck"...but it doesn't have quite the right ring to it They are also experienced and have players that know what to do in these situations.

Zetterberg shining on offense, defense again in playoffs

Great read. Kudos -
They might very well be a glimpse of the next-gen Redwings. And it looks bright indeed. Ericsson even got the 2nd star of the game.

The team needs for him to start scoring sooner or later, and he knows that more than anyone. In the meantime he's doing pretty much everything else flawlessly.
