Imagine the following being said to a raped girl: "Look, what happened to you is terrible and it isn't your fault at all, but you should really think twice about wearing such sexy clothes next time." I hope the point is clear enough.

Although I hope you are overreacting, bad officiating DO hurt the game's image of fairness and honor. I guess everyone's got a point where it's not worth the time and effort anymore, but I still think the good parts outweighs the bad.
-
Wow, that's a prime time blooper call by the ref. Then there's the call on Stuart which led to a PP goal by the Ducks. Two game-changing calls...that's bad officiating anyway you turn it.

Some great shifts there in the second half of the period. Z is on fire, Datsyuk is working his butt off. Ozzie is solid. Also can't grasp how cool Ericsson's play is considering the circumstances.

It's just amazing how little real output Hossa gets out of his incredible speed and stickhandling. Seeing him blitz down the zone one thinks "wow, how could anyone stop him now!?", yet most of the time he fails to capitalize. It's such a shame.

No synchronization in the play whatsoever, players look scared and confused what to do with the puck.

I can't believe I'm staying up for this game, it's already past 3AM and still 1.5h to go before it starts. But I'm nervous as hell and most likely wouldn't be able to sleep anyway. It better not be 3 OT's again though. Hate to say it but I've got a strange, tense kind of feeling about this game. If there's one team that can lure out the few Achilles heel's the Wings have -- it's Anaheim. I don't know how they do it. Yet with an overall effort at least as good as in game 2, with one or a few players finding that all-star level (such as Dats-Hossa) and with some luck, we might very well take it.

We all knew it was gonna be a bulls*** goal either way in the end. Emotionally is sucks of course, but rationally I see absolutely no reason not to stay optimistic about this series. This is hell of a team with lots and lots of experience to deal with setbacks like this one. Edit: I meant setbacks, not drawbacks...

Holy s***, is Ericsson 2nd on the team in TOI!? Just slightly behind Lidstrom!? Wow, didn't expect that. Edit: No wait, Stuart is up there too...still though, holy crap.

Not everyone can be as badass as you bud. Humiliating the defence, scoring, running the goalie over and finishing off with the "mad gorilla"-celebration...couldn't have asked for a better payback!

Incredibly exciting. Not too well played game this far though, hopefully they will be de-rusted by the 2nd period. Hudler should get a Purple Heart for getting up after that hit. Niedermayer (Scott) is a heck of a skater. Franzen...I wanna know what he's eating for breakfast. The way Datsyuk plays he will get his points in due time.

Wow, that "Baconator" at Wendy's looks tasty. Might be worth a heartattack and some arteriosclerosis.

This is so damn entertaining to watch. I just wish the games were longer...

Yay, there's a medal for that too!? No sympathy at SVT tough, facewashing the poor players with microphones just seconds after they've lost the final. What the hell do they expect them to say at that point?
-
4-1 with 1 min to go, deserved W for Canada. Excellent D and PP. Sweden with a good effort but they makes it too hard for themselves, never reaches their top potential. Like I said, verry happy for reaching the finals in any case. Disgraceful to run the goalie like that though. It's one thing to be hard nosed and gritty...but running the goalie, that's just dirty. And the refs cannot seem to stand up and avert it.

To some extent; yes he was. But to point that out while not pointing out that he got ran into at full speed at one of these occasions and literally got hit at another, is pretty much the definition of ignorance.
-
I kind of like his straight-talk in some situations...but he should make a Wall Street bank kind of write-down on his ego.
-
Are you kidding or are you ignorant?
-
Sheesh...the swedish commetators are such whiners...

One usually argues why there IS a penatly, not why there ISN'T one. Go ahead and do that if you like. I can't say for sure Esposito should have had a penalty but he was late into the situation (goalie got to puck first) and clearly kept his leg extended.

Seriously, someone should set up Victor Hedman on a playdate with, say, Donald Brashear. He could do some damage with all that size. 2-0. Broken stick, superb finish. No complaints there.
