I love dry, absurd humour. Needless to say Pasha is a big hero of mine

...a few more additions: * Kronwall breaking Malone's nose with that hit in game 2 (or 1?) * Pavel "The Terminator" Datsyuk getting into a mean streak * Hudler & Helm redefining the phrase "team depth" * Franzen using Malkin as a punch bag * Zetter's blindside turn-around backhand * FRANZENSTEIN SMASH * Oh, and it was great seing Holmstrom and Gill sharing sly smiles when shaking hands...I'd hope Gill said the beers was going to be on him, considering the abuse Homer had to take from him

In terms of Red Wings first periods, VERY good. Excellent. -
Still in a state of shock and disappointment...but yeah I'll be ready.

Sometimes I get tired of these "X happened before the goal, therefore X caused the goal"-arguments. Oh, along with "whenever the opponents score, it's per definition someone of our players fault".
-
It's real hard to rationalize what went wrong this game. We let in some flukey goals, but hardly got dominated in any way. Rather, WE dominated large parts, expecially the OT. The only thing I can think of is our finish. We seem to shoot to often, too early and from too far away. The above statistic may be a proof of that. I'm also a little worried about Datsyuk...most of the time he has the puck I go "yes, yes, YES, nooo...". No bashing intended but his play doesn't seem to yield many concrete scoring chances right now.
-
Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Our offence is struggling, no other way I can see it.
-
Wow...tough to lose it like this. Empty feeling. Hudler gotta take some blaim, but not his fault we lose it. DAMN.
-
Hey, we're all wrecks here buddy

It's early morning here now, sun is shining I'm actually too tired to be as hyperactive and nervous as I was before...and I can't say that's a bad thing. It's looks really good for the Wings, if they lose this one it'll hurt bad. But at this point, anything can happen. That's the mental terrror of OT. I say Homer score on a flukey rebound...or Kronwall on a screened shot from the blueline, he still has one to take back in this game.
-
On one hand, Fleury is playing out of his mind. On the other, we really don't have any fatal goal chances. I'm quite surprised by how little players like Z and D gets done with the D the Pens have.

I've seen this Flomax commerical so many times I'll soon by a pack, even though I have no clue what it is. Also I'll buy a Volkswagen...and a Polaris...and join the Army, Navy and the Marines.
-
Also, remember we have mr OT; Franzen.
-
I'm somewhat cool...our offence seem to have reignited. We can do this. Oh come on NBC, get your heads out of the Pens' asses.
-
BORK BORK BORK!
-
I'm especially worried by this part. What the hell is wrong!?
-
Are Z & D overworking offensively? They seem to stickhandle their way right into hopeless situations over and over.
-
Either the Pens defence is doing a good job pushing our offence to the outside, or we simple finish that way. The scenario is always the same, enter the zone, stop, wait for screen, shoot from far away. Rebound bounces out of our reach.
-
Two flukey goals, the score doen't represent the character of the game. However, and this is something I've thought since game 3, we lack 5 on 5 offensive creativity. We don't suck or anything, and the offence we get from the blueline is superb, but out forward are - in my opinion - kind of struggling offensively.

I like Lilja's Taliban-beard!

This is gooood news...Homer is that little push that tilts our 1:st line offence over the top. Here's to Homers ass being all over Fleury's face monday night :beerbuddy:

What impresses me is that there's already a transition taking place. Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall and others bear more and more responsibility, while the vet-core slowly step back. I think Lids is playing something like 5 min less in average TOI these playoffs compared to last year. Anyway, some teams need several years between prime cycles, the Wings are somehow in a constant prime. It's quite remarkable!

So what did Sidney Crosby really say to Zetterberg?
