Worse yet, and this happened all playoffs across many of the series: Terrible linesman. Its beyond me how they could miss some obvious offsides and the icing last night that led to the first goal. Im not going to go as far as say the league had an agenda, but the lines judges this year were a disgrace. Pitt had three situations this series in which blown calls by the lines judges benefited the pens. 1) the too many men situation 2) the offside pass that led to the tieing goal in game 3 (I cant remember which goal for sure) 3) the missed icing last night, probably the worst all playoffs. and the Kronwall hit in the Chicago series where the ref blamed the lines judge. Im not sure how the NHL can plan to be a top league when every official they put on the ice is making terrible, obvious calls. The one last night was so obvious even Eddie "Pens G"O called it out as well as Pierre and Doc. Im not sure whats going on with the officials in the NHL but this has to be fixed if they want a consistent, marketable product.

I know he was injured, but his play was terrible. Its hard to play with a bad back I agree, but he had a tendancy to fire into the shin guards all series long, thats a killer. Pinning this on Stuart is just wrong. Our D as a whole has been our sore spot. A good offensive team like Pit just exploited it. If our forwards werent so good defensively this series would have been ugly. Our lack of PP production killed us. Like I said in another thread once the Pens shut down the 5 0n 5 point shots and we couldnt put the puck away on the PP we were finished. This is the same way Anaheim allmost got it done. They just didnt have enough O to finnish the job. The pens did. That being said, I think if we fix our blue line issues we wont need to score 3-4 goals many games next season, which should put us up near the top once again. We shall see.

All of our 5 on 5 offense is generated by shots from the point, no of our blue liners were getting shots through; a HUGE reason we lost. The Pens do a great job of stopping these shots. That made the Wings powerplay all the more important, unfortunatly they only had it clicking for one game. We score on the powerplay we have the cup in our possesion right now. Our PP was horrid except for two games this playoffs. ******* HORRID. When we get our 5 on 5 game taken away from us we live on the powerplay. This is how we beat teams. Both were bad for us this series. Too many blocked shots and not enough PP production.

Who would have filled his spot? BTW Stuart was amazing in the first 3 rounds, almost un brad stuart like. Without him no way we make it past the Ducks. Its a fact. He was bad last night, but Rafalski was a joke. Lebda was not good, I mean you really want to blame this guy? We scored 1 freakin goal last night on home ice. ONE thats why we lost.

The defense as a whole gets a D from me. They were not very good this year at all.

I dont agree with the title of this post. We need a major retool on the blue line. Our D was TERRIBLE this year and in the end it cost us the cup. Im not sure if it was the coaching change or what, but things need to be changed in a big way here.

Over the last 3 years the league has gotten so bad its hard for me to watch. Next year I will probably keep tabs on the Wings via the net but thats about it. I may watch them come playoff time, but I wont try as hard to make sure I am available to watch every game. Two years ago I watched about 75 of 82 plus the playoffs, last year about 30 games and the play offs this year a handful and a handful of playoff games. To be honest, being a life long hockey fan the game is too hard for me to watch. I dont understand the rules anymore and it frustrates me to no end. So I will have to find other things to do lol.

Once again Rafalski was HORRIBLE. Couldnt shoot without hitting a pen shinguard and having it end up go the other way all series. Stuart looked bad but somethimes Stuart does that, but Raf had a terrible series IMO. AND hes our #2, who should really be in our 3-4 spot.

I dont mind Hossas lack of offensive production Its his give aways that make me want to jump into the TV and blind side him. In the D zone especially, a player of his caliber knows better but he continues to cough the puck up in the worst possible spots. Blind backhanders off the wall, risky passes etc. Thats whats killing me about him right now.

Im thinking about making the trip to watch the game up there on Friday. I have fri and sat off work. If I make the trip where is a good place to park? Best place to watch? Ive watched games at hockeytown and Chelis. Any ideas? Thanks

I think your number 1 is the reason they decide to take huge chunks of games off. They think they are the best and try to out talent teams a lot of the time. We shall see what team shows up. If the TEAM shows up for the game lights out, if the premadona squad shows up - game over

Other than Zetts when was the last time one of our guys making huge money scored a Goal? Rafalski maybe? He was horrible tonight. Lids, not a great game at all. Dats comng back from injury. Hossa, lets not get started. Franzen? Where did he go?

Im not feeling good about game 7. We get more "needed rest" probably enough to come out flat again. Im prepared for a 2 goal loss on Friday. This team s*** away a golden opportunity tonight.

Rafalski is slow as hell. Tonight he was terrible.
