Bertuzzi is a completely different man than he was the last few years. Glad to see him into playing hockey again. You can see it in his face and hear it in his voice.

Why do people refuse to believe that our D has been terrible agaisnt SJ? It has been lack luster all year. They turn the puck over ALL the time in their own end. Good teams kill you on that. Plus how many times are goals scored from a player just hanging out in front of the net all alone with no one near him, while the D man is standing around like a dips***? I love Lids but this team has NO intensity and our D core is no longer a strength on this team. We are losing because we are playing a team that is more determined and more skilled on D. Id trade any of our D men for Boyle right now.

The Wings are just not that good this year. If you cant see it from this series, I don't know what to tell you. We have been outplayed in every areas this series. The sharks are just better, this year.

I think Babs saying Wed like to think we are the better team, pretty much sums up a lot of the problems on the ice. Its great that you think you are the better team guys, that makes me happy. BUT Play like the better team and win the ******* games and be the better team. Thinking your the better team and being the better team are not the same. This is the attitude that kills this team and its obvious by the way they play half the time. You do realize Hossa was out for a huge chunk of the season from shoulder surgery right? And he pulled the blackhawks out of the fire last nigh too. Not comparing the two players cuz honestly they are both pretty damn good. You cant blame Franzens lack of performance this year on his damn knee. Blame it on the fact we expect way too much out of him because he played way way above his ability the last few playoffs.

Exactly. This is why 5 goals happen on 20 ish shots. You cant leave people all alone in front of the net. this team does this all the time. Its freakin aggrevating. This s*** is hockey 101.

Babs needs to call out the D and needed to from game 1 really. We shouldnt have to score 3 or 4 goals to win games. Its too hard to score in the playoffs.

Real question here is will Lids show any emotion at all going into game 7 or will it be another "well we played pretty well, we just have to keep at it" God I miss Stevie Y.

Fair enough. I will attribute most of this teams success to Howard, definately. PLay in our own end has been realy bad, a lot of this from poor D man play. I would consider that a fact. Look at how many times our D turns the puck over.

This has nothing to do with Jimmy Howard standing on his head all season, including the playoffs? Isnt he up for the Calder just for that reason? Lets look at the facts objectively, our D has been bad and definatly not play off caliber for a few years. I love Lids and company, but they are not good right now. Its time to upgrade.

Our D has been terrible for the last two and a half seasons. Its time to upgrade cant put it off any longer. Lids is too freaking old, Rafalski is a turn over expet, Kronwall is way too inconsistant and is a third D man at best and stuart lucky to be top 4. This has been our weak point for a few years, we have just been lucky enough to get great goal tending and Franzen scoring a million goals. Well this year Johan is on vacation and we are headed to a game 7 that we are not prepared for.

Anyone else tired of watching our D men get abused. They have been terrile this series. ALL of them. We need an upgrade.

Someone really needs to convince me that the "War Room" in Toronto is anything more than a bunch of drunk Canadians watching hockey games. Hell the crowd at your average Buffalo Wild Wings would do a better job making calls 95% of the time.

How about they actually make a rule here? Take all room for interpritation out. If it goes off an offensive players foot, no goal. Pretty simple really. The NHL is like Congress they leave everything to interpretation and leads to everything getting f***ed up. Look at the stupid rules in this league, why are they so complex?

Hopefully a tough stay at home D man. I think we really need to upgrade on D. With Lids looking his age and the rest of the D looking average all last year we need to take a hard look at our D. With the cap room we have we should be able to upgrade.
