Listen, I just liked the vid. They are both Russians, and have the same name. If you want to compare them, go ahead. I don't.
-
As I said in my previous post: I'm not trying to compare them in terms of skill-set, mentality, ability, etc. They have only couple of things in common: both score crazy goals, and both's name is Pavel. That's about it. Just a cool video.
-
Not trying to compare them... just cool video, and both are just so entertaining to watch...

West is getting even better. How many good Dmen are in the east? Chara, Gonchar, Markov... Finger?
-
He is talking with the Caps, but they are offering only 2M. Feds is not happy, and wants 4M. Plus, he has some offers from Russia.
-
Good for Jagr. It seems that he really liked there, and money is good also. What options Jagr had after NYR signed Naslund? Edmonton is not better than Siberia. Atlanta is a bottom feeder. To be "Crosby's Right Winger"? Jagr has more pride than that. He will play 2-3 years in Russia. He will be major star there. After that he can finish his great career in Kladno. Sounds like a wise choice.

Good move. Adds depth.
-
What's the difference? On the paper they can be the 1st line. Coach will give them their minutes.
-
We have already replaced Dallas Drake... with Marian Hossa.
-
Kalinin is good for them, solid Dman. Naslund... if price is good, then it's a decent signing

Which teams will be the best...and the worst in 08-09?
jawbreaker replied to Yzerman is God's topic in General
West Best: Detroit, San Jose, Dallas, Anaheim Worst: LA, St Louis, Vancouver Dark Horse: Columbus, and Chicago East Best: Montreal, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Ottawa Worst: Atlanta, NY Islanders, Toronto Dark Horse: Tampa Bay -
Well... Sammy is better, than Maltby, or Mac. He is very good on his own end, and can 30-40pts. Actually TC will settle all things.
-
West is strong. All bad/average teams improved. On the paper bottom teams are LA, and the Blues. Every other team has a good shot to play after the regular season.
-
Who needs McCabe, when you got Finger... Keep it up, and you never be good again... it's a shame, 'cause Toronto just has to be a good team EDIT: Why is McCabe so dumb, if you are not wanted, then just waive it... plus he can choose a team
-
If they could add one good center (like Demitra), then they would be in great shape.
-
I dislike Burke, and I do think that he is overrated. But on this matter I have to agree. These contracts are stupid: Green, Carter, Perry, Getzlaf, Penner. They are getting payed only for their potential. Actually Philly has been nasty also: they signed Richards, then Carter. These players don't get 3M contracts anymore... they get 5M+ straight up. If these guys make so much, then proven NHLers (Campbell, Hossa) are asking even more. This might lead to another lockout.
-
That is why you don't want to play in Pittsburgh. Imagine, if Detroit media calls him Mule's Right Winger The Pens are all about Sidney Crosby, but Detroit is a TEAM.
-
TSN Maybe it will make them slightly happier. Good deal, he's worth it!
-
Hank will get his money. Hossa might take a slight discount. But you have to consider, that Johan Franzen have never had a big payday. If some Edmonton throws him big bucks, then I won't be blaming him, if he will decide to leave.
-
yeah... Stuart took about a 1M cut. But Orpik's deal is good, too.
-
If we look at the market, then it's a good deal for the Pens. He will get the exact same money per year as Stuart. The Pens are not doomed. They signed Malkin, Orpik. If they can add Naslund, or Jagr then they would be ok.
-
Hossa is the man! He really wanted to play here. He offered a contract, not Kenny! This is crazy! Hossa must be tired playing in those we-will-be-good-someday teams.
-
Then Franzen, or Val will get their money from some other club. It's obvious that we can't keep Z, Hossa, Mule, Val. My guess, if Hossa stays, then Franzen is gone. He can have a great season, and we will not be able to pay him near 5M per year. If Franzen will have another 40-50pts season, then we keep Flip, 'cause he is a lot younger than Mule.
-
I like Tyutin. He is more useful to CBJ than Zherdev. Plus Zherdev is not the best role-model to Filatov. The Rags got finally decent winger to play with Gomez. Good for both.
-
Val will sign a cheap one-year deal. He will get his money next year. Simple.
