Did anyone notice Hudlers tape job on his stick while they were interviewing Conks? it was just white around the toe of the blade with thick black tape running just along the bottom from where the tape on the toe ends until the heel. Just thought it was different and i have not seen that before or know the point of the two colors?

I was lucky enough to play against Pat Kane two years in a row starting when I was 12 and he played for the Buffalo Regals. To see him play and the things he coulddo at that young of an age was unreal and you just knew he was going to go somewhere. The fact that he used to blackout all of his Bauer equipment until he got paid to wear it got a laugh back then but now the joke is on us haha. At that point I was in goal and he embarrassed me for all 5 of his goals including a nice backhand from the blueling lol, but it sure is a good story to tell now....

Was it just me or on the second goal for dallas was the far winger (Neil ?) offsides by a couple feet lol seems like Lidstrom was thrown off and ultimately out of the play. just my own thinking i guess

Not that is was an intentional move but if you look back to the game 5 goal in overtime, the original shot from the point on the penguins power play went straight off the ref to the side of the net on to a penguin stick and then in the net. I know it happens all the time but i just thought it was funny how that would happen like that to end a game.

Living 45 minutes from HSBC in Buffalo I know how the whole success thing and a new fan base really works. Before Buffalo made it to the playoffs back to back, you could go up there an hour before the game and pick up tickets anywhere in the arena . Now that they had success, it seems like everyone in western New York is an avid Sabres fan, (makes me sick haha) but my point is that Wings fans, from the two games i have made and the one in Buffalo this year, have been there year after year supporting the team and not just because they have had recent success or a good shot at winning like pitt this year.

Just not very well. haha And apparently we play "Trash Hockey" and "We used to be a team of skill once upon a time"
