i agree with you for the most part. i would of traded picks for feds but not a 1st rd pick. he's not worth that much and that's what columbus was looking for.

yeah i miss konstantinov. the guy was a beast for us in the playoffs. stuart i think will fit in nicely with our defense. i love the hit he had on lang. lang was always soft in my mind. i think you will see stuart get physical. if you remember last years playoff team we were pretty physical for the players we had. i think babcock is going to do the same thing with his players.

i can't agree with you anymore. i do believe kenny was really shopping for a forward but the asking prices were too steep. i would not want to give up a 1st rd pick for fedorov, or a couple picks, a player for hossa. why waste all that for a player who is only a rental. in long run this will pay off. i feel we still have a good shot to win the cup. right now, we are a little banged up and there is plenty of hockey to be played. for the other teams there's nothing saying they will have injuries before the playoffs. if we don't win the cup the nice thing is we can resign hank and cleary. hopefully, we could sign another forward during the offseason.

Finally!!! someone has said it!!! sounds like too many people here play GM on NHL08 for PS3 too much. there is plenty of hockey to be played. just because we don't make a huge deal doesn't mean we have a chance. the d will get better as we start getting guys back. one thing i look at with a lot of teams that moves they don't always work out. philly is one to teams in the past that always made huge moves but they haven't won a cup in decades.

adding depth was my concern. the d is all banged up and any addition will help us overall. i wasn't getting my hopes up for a hossa or sundin. it just seemed too good to be true. i am glad federov didn't come here. plus, i just didn't seeing us dealing with a team in our own division.

lets say i have to pleasure of being surrounded by indian fans. they are pretty nervous and upset of the offseason moves we made. all i can do is smile from ear to ear.

big shock there it's down to osu and psu. osu has been recruiting this kid for awhile. michigan and oregon made their push way too late. michigan didn't really make the push till rich came in to michigan. carr was never really going after him because he was looking for mallet to be the starter after henne left. as for psu, it's rare you see big time hs players leave PA to play college ball. joepa can recruit still but that's about it. a lot of big ten fans are trying to figure out what's wrong with the big ten. my opinion is there are too many coaches that have been hanging around. coaches like carr, joepa, tiller, and frentz. carr finally took the hint and retired. i believe tiller is in his last year but joepa seriously needs to go.

i am still shaking my head on all the injuries in such a short period of time. i have never seen a team get swamped with so many injuries.

i am not getting my hopes up. holland always talks but you always get the same result.

i honestly feel that the rivalry could come back is if the avs get into the playoffs and knock us out. there will always be a deep hatred for the avs. i do agree though at this point and time that the ducks are our biggest rival.

i like flip but hossa would be solid for this team. i think he would fit in nicely and add a scoring punch that we lack last year in the playoffs.
