Did anyone else lose their HD feed (I'm on WILX) or is it just me?

My HD channel went out just as Cleary was breaking down towards the goal. As I hurry up to switch to CBC, he has a penalty. Not only did we get screwed with a bad call, but now I have no HD!

How was that goalie interference!?!??! Thank GOD they were tired at the end of the period when it got called.

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Detroit Red Wings' victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Stanley Cup finals opener was the highest-rated and most-watched cable telecast of the championship round in six years. The Red Wings' 4-0 win on Saturday night had a 1.8 national rating -- drawing over 2.3 million viewers. The rating was the highest for an NHL game on Versus, topping the audience that watched the Penguins' Game 2 victory over Philadelphia in this year's Eastern Conference finals. Only Lance Armstrong's final ride in the 2005 Tour de France had a higher rating in Versus history (2.1). Versus will show Game 2 of the finals on Monday night before the series shifts to NBC for the remaining games. The Game 1 rating is a 157 percent increase over last year's opener and a 100 percent rise from two years ago.

From NHL.com Stars-Wings NBC contingency plan for May 17th May 16, 2008, 2:12 PM EDT NEW YORK - The contingency plan for Saturday's 1:30 p.m. ET DAL@DET NBC broadcast is as follows: If the game goes into overtime, the local Dallas and Detroit NBC affiliates will stay with the game until it's conclusion In markets outside Dallas and Detroit, the game will shift from NBC to VERSUS after completion of the 1st OT There are some markets that may pre-empt the game but at this time we don't know the alternative channel plans.

I have to work on Saturday and am going to have my DVR record the game. I'm wondering if the NHL is going to cut away from coverage of the game again this year if it goes to OT, and in case that happens I want to be ready. Preakness coverage starts at 4:30PM, 3 hours after the Wings game starts. If there is OT, would they keep the game on NBC or throw it over to a different channel, Versus perhaps. I just want to make sure I have all the channels possible to record the game so I don't go insane if the game goes to OT and I get horses running around.

So I'm listening to NHL Live on XM today and I hear the remark that the Wings haven't sold out some early playoff games. So I decide to send an email to tell them they have, and they actually read it on air. First time thats happened. Here is the audio if you care to listen. Click Here

I've been looking for the press conferences too. TSN usually puts them up online, but they haven't yet.

Turco heard second-hand that some of his teammates were accusing Osgood of butt-ending Robidas. "If that's the case, a butt-end to somebody's face at any time is pretty gutless," said Turco. ...gutless? Coming from the guy who punches our guy in the back of the head and trips a guy skating by.

I say let Ribiero play...McCarty will give him what's coming to him

Here's the link to the HD file. It's a big file (75MB of uncompressed HD), but it should download pretty fast from where it's uploaded. McCarty v McCormick HD If you watch the youtube one, make sure you click the 'watch in high quality' if you want to see it better then the pixelated crap youtube gives ya.

I uploaded it, in case you haven't seen it. I can throw the full HD version out there if anyone happens to want that.

That article looks like it is just for the NY market to me, as it mentions it being on MSG Plus.

Seems on the Comcast system I'm on they have all the Center Ice channels unencrypted. I think this has to do with the MLB Extra Innings free preview for like a week or so, but I'm getting all the hockey games too. Might want to check out your system to see if you get it too. The preview runs till April 6th, so it's probably only going to be available for a few days.

Didn't know if this was going to be of interest to anyone or if anyone knew, but I work at Cabela's down in Dundee and they kept announcing throughout the day today that Mike Babcock was going to be at Cabela's from 2:30 to 3:30 signing autographs tomorrow(Saturday th 29th). I find this a bit weird as not many people usually go for a coaches autograph, but maybe some players will be there too(they only said Babcock though). Just thought I'd pass that info along in case anyone wanted to go.
