I'm confused by the last quote. The writer seems to first be suggesting that Franzen's been working out more than we've been told, and then he conludes that there seems to be "more" going on then post-concussion symptoms. Maybe I'm missing something, but don't those two suggestions seem mutually exclusive?

I just received e-mails with that link from three different family members, all saying something along the lines of, "You're the writer in the family. Get it done!"

Oh my god! I don't know why I find it so shocking that he's there, but I do. It sort of feels like how it would feel to look across the room at a frat party and see your dad taking a beer bong. Not that I'd know anything about how that feels...

Today is not going to be good for my nerves. Job interview at 4:30, game time at 6:00. And waaaaaay too many hours between now & then.

No problem. I actually did a print screen, just in case the obviously-not-theologically-inclined editors happen to get clued in. For posterity's sake. You know what I hate? I hate that it's about 10 minutes to game time, and there are still SINGING VEGETABLES on NBC. I mean, I'm used to it. Horses that run around a track for 60 seconds get 2 hours of pre-game, a conference final hockey game gets nothing. I'm used to it, but that doesn't mean I don't hate it.

I can't believe this game starts in less than an hour. Also, I love the nhl.com headline. "Turco ready to exercise Detroit demons." Good, he can exercise them all he wants. Because he sure as hell won't be exorcising them.

I'd definitely be interested. I love both the Giggling Grizzly and Public House, and I've heard great things about Moontime Bar & Grill. Anyone else?

You can watch the post-game on redwings.nhl.tv. But... they were just freaking adorable, not to mention hilarious. Datsyuk was amusingly uncomfortable, and Zetterberg answered most of the questions, including, "Do you think this is the best Pavel can play?" At one point, Dats was just sort of tapping his fingers for a bit, and had a look like, "Hellooooo, I had my first hat trick tonight..." When he did answer, Zets had a bit of a big brother air about him, nodding his head as if to say, "Yep, right track, buddy." I get shivers when I think about the two of them playing their entire careers together. Can you imagine??

It's up on TSN if you want to see it. He was fairly despondent. Used the word "chasing" a few times in the first minute. Said his team is resilient, and they will not change a thing. (I couldn't make out the question asked to elicit this response, but I wonder if it had anything to do with Tuuuur-coooo.) Called Zets & Dats a "rare breed." Commented on Morrow ("a stinger") and Modano ("a bump on the head").

It was great to see such emotion from him. Definitely well deserved. Anyone else watch the post-game with him and Zetterberg? Oh man.

I thought the same thing while I was watching the post-games. Although, Babcock didn't say he'd know what's going when they get back to Detroit; I'm assuming he was referring to getting back to the hotel or wherever. Still, I realize Franzen's not playing, but I doubt that means they aren't being updated on what's going on with him while in Dallas. I mean, I realize it's a bit of a hillbilly place, but I'd imagine they still have nifty contraptions like phones and computers. I'm trying not to let the fatalist in me come out, but the whole thing feels very strange.

Just watched Babcock's post-game on nhl.tv, and still no word. I'm not sure what to make of this delay in relaying information.

They did, in fact. I believe the husband yells something like, "I told you they was organized!" after the chickens defeat the farmers. Seems somewhat appropriate, eh?
