In reguards to the cap hit comments being posted, it is also being said that Detroit is the front runner for signing Fabian Brunnstrom too, so theres another cheap player that can be offered a two year contract after this year.

Im new to this site, but Ive been stuck on this story all day and I figured I would share some updates with all of you. Eklund is reporting that Ellis has been placed on waivers, which is probably nothing, but these small roster moves often happen before trades are made. Also, Waddell has announced that they have given a team a 48 hour window to talk about contract extensions with Hossa.
